Jamie is an ordinary man living a seemingly typical life, balancing a mundane job with the responsibilities of fatherhood. One morning, he drops off his daughter with a babysitter, presenting an image of carefree innocence akin to a child playing in a park. Little do those around him know, Jamie has devised a plan to join a gang of ex-marines in a daring bank heist. Among the crew is his own brother, Mic Sheridan, whose intimidating demeanor is marked by a bald head and piercing eyes, starkly contrasting with Jamie’s mild appearance.

While Jamie tries to project a normal life, he conceals a darker side, as he is deeply committed to his girlfriend, Ava, and aims to provide for their family, especially since their daughter is in dire need of surgery. In secret, Jamie has been donating a significant amount through a crowdfunding platform to help cover the medical costs. Ava, fully aware of Jamie’s illicit plans, still clings to hope that he will abandon his criminal ways. Ironically, Ava works at the bank targeted for the robbery.

The heist unfolds precisely as planned; the crew, fully equipped and prepared, storms the bank in search of a staggering $3 million. However, they soon discover that law enforcement is already poised to intervene outside. As the crew attempts to make their escape, they are met with a fierce assault from local police and FBI agents, resulting in a tragic shootout that sees most of the crew, save for the two brothers, fall victim to the violence. An additional survivor from the crew faces grave injuries, while tragically, six officers also lose their lives in the chaos.

Fueled by rage, Mic is determined to track down the traitor who disclosed their plans to the police. He believes the authorities were tipped off beforehand, which explains the rapid response from the FBI. Mic shows no remorse for the fallen officers, convinced that they had come to inflict harm rather than uphold the law. In stark contrast, Jamie is primarily concerned with locating the double-crosser while fearing the repercussions of their actions as fugitives.

Now, in a race against time, the brothers know they need to find medical assistance for their injured accomplice while simultaneously strategizing their escape. Enter Special Agent Frank Ross, tasked with capturing the cop killers still on the loose. With the situation becoming increasingly dire, Jamie, whose thoughts are consumed with his family’s safety, depends on quick and intelligent decisions to navigate this perilous scenario.

Agent Ross begins his investigation by speaking to bank employees, including Ava, aiming to uncover vital information. As the bank is relatively small, he probes into why such a hefty sum lay within the vault. Assistance comes from Agent Mike Hays and Lt. Bauer, who bring up a tip received from a Vice officer regarding a man named Edwin Smalls. Smalls, who provided crucial details about the bank’s cybersecurity, ends up revealing that the information was coerced under threats from the brothers. His descriptions make it easy for Agent Ross to identify Jamie and Mic, drawing them closer to capture.

In a twist, Agent Ross finds Jamie’s locket amid the wreckage, which leads him to believe in Jamie’s innocence. As the investigation progresses, Ava becomes a significant player, holding the last pieces of the puzzle. Her connection to Jamie complicates matters further, as Ross finds himself contemplating fatherhood while understanding the stakes involved. Suspecting she may have a role in the unfolding drama, he grapples with the ethics of involving her in his investigation as he strives to keep their daughter, Joan, out of harm’s way.

As events spiral, Jamie learns that a criminal named Nussy intends to take a hefty cut from their stolen bounty, leaving Jamie with a paltry percentage. Compelled by a sense of urgency and love for his family, Jamie sees no other option but to make a deal with Nussy. Unbeknownst to Mic, Jamie’s choice is viewed as a betrayal, leading to rising tensions between the brothers.

The inevitable confrontation unfolds when Nussy’s brother, incensed by Mic and Jamie’s actions, confronts them, leading to a violent showdown. Faced with the choices of loyalty to family or a desperate need for survival, Jamie makes a heart-wrenching decision to leave Mic behind, heeding Ava’s wise counsel amid chaos.

The eruption of violence reaches a climax when Nussy’s men capture the trio. In an intense standoff, Jamie and Ava find themselves at the mercy of Nussy, while Mic is torn between desperation and the dire need to protect his brother. Ross’s team connects the dots, leading them to Nussy’s hideout where they attempt to save Jamie and potentially bring justice to his choices.

As the dust settles, Jamie seizes a fleeting chance to escape while chaos ensues around him. In a shocking turn, Mic avenges their fallen crewmate by taking down Nussy. Ultimately, Jamie realizes his brother is too far gone into a path of destruction. He escapes with Ava, embarking on a new life while leaving Mic to face the consequences of his actions.

Amid the uncertainty of their departure, Jamie is believed to be deceased, but fate has other plans. Years later, he reaches out to Ava and Joan, inviting them to join him on a secluded island near the Bolivian border, revealing the survival of a man torn between love for family and the remnants of a life defined by crime.
