Two young lovers navigate the intricacies of their tumultuous, passionate relationship against a backdrop of intense political upheaval. The story centers around Yu Hong, portrayed by Hao Lei, a beautiful girl from the countryside who decides to leave her familiar village, her family, and her first love to pursue her studies at Beijing University.
