Resident Evil: Degeneration

In November 2005, Harvardville Airport is overwhelmed by a T-virus outbreak both inside the terminal and a crashed airliner. Claire Redfield encounters Senator Ron Davis and Rani, and they hide in the VIP lounge as security forces lock down the airport. Leon S. Kennedy, Angela Miller, and Greg Glenn arrive with federal backup, and Claire's group gets rescued but Greg must be left behind because he's infected.

Trucks from WilPharma arrive to administer a T-virus vaccine to survivors, signaling a turn toward pharmaceutical intervention amid the chaos. Explosives destroy the vaccine trucks, disrupting the attempt and revealing the shadowy stakes of the bioterror crisis. The incident raises suspicion about who is really controlling the outbreak.

Leon Kennedy reveals to Claire that a terrorist has threatened to unleash the T-virus across the United States unless government officials involved in its creation are revealed by midnight. The ultimatum sets a ticking clock that drives the escalating conspiracy. This news reframes the crisis beyond the airport's walls.

Claire accompanies WilPharma's head researcher Frederic Downing to the company's Harvardville research facility to learn more about the vaccine project. Downing reveals plans to develop a G-virus vaccine, which angers Claire due to its dangerous potential. He excuses himself, leaving Claire alone in his office to consider the information.

Claire informs Leon about Downing's warning and learns that Curtis's house is on fire, signaling the danger closing in. Downing phones Claire, warning of a man who has activated a time bomb, heightening the sense of imminent catastrophe. Claire spots Curtis in the building's central garden as the bomb detonates.

Leon and Angela split up to pursue different leads inside the facility; Leon reunites with Claire, while Angela reconnects with Curtis, who reveals government involvement in Raccoon City's destruction. Curtis injects himself with the G-virus, mutating and killing a squad of marines. Leon rescues Angela as the atrium garden begins to collapse, and the building's immune system tries to incinerate the virus through a containment fail-safe.

Angela and Leon jump into a pool to escape the fire and heat as the laboratory tries to incinerate the virus at the cost of their lives. After breaking through a glass partition, they end up in an underground area where the containment system spurs further danger. They survive the peril, but the facility continues to fall apart around them.

Back in the command center, Claire attempts to halt the biohazard alarm and reopen the building, but Curtis's detection triggers an outbreak containment failsafe that drops the laboratory into an abyss. The isolation of infection triggers the entire building to be trapped to prevent further spread of the T-virus.

Curtis attacks, trying to seize control and forcing Angela to run, but Leon shoots him as he clings to Angela's leg and he falls to his death. The immediate threat is neutralized, but the consequences of his manipulation linger.

In the aftermath, Claire accuses Senator Davis of orchestrating events to boost WilPharma stock, but Leon reveals Davis is innocent. The true mastermind is Downing, who manipulated Curtis and orchestrated the bombing and bioterror incidents to advance his own research and profits.

Downing confesses to being a former Umbrella researcher who stole both viruses, using an alias to sell them to potential buyers while researching a vaccine. Angela realizes Downing manipulated Curtis, but Claire notes this does not fully absolve him of guilt; his motives are murky, and he sought to prevent another Raccoon City through his actions.

News reports reveal Senator Davis resigning over insider trading allegations with WilPharma stocks; a newspaper over his face shows Tricell has offered to purchase WilPharma as it heads toward bankruptcy. Davis is assassinated by Tricell, who deletes his files and recovers G-virus samples from Curtis's corpse.
