Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead

Immediately following his presumed demise in *Phantasm II*, a new version of the Tall Man emerges from the white room's dimensional fork. This unsettling return signifies the continuation of his menacing presence in the world.

As the hearse transporting Liz and Mike journeys onward, it tragically explodes in a fiery spectacle. This chaotic event not only leads to Liz's death but also marks a pivotal turning point in the ongoing battle against the Tall Man.

Rushing to the scene of the explosion, Reggie discovers Liz lifeless and a dwarf creature feasting on her face. Armed with his four-barrel shotgun, he quickly dispatches several dwarfs, showcasing his commitment to fighting the Tall Man's horrific minions.

Confronted by the Tall Man, Reggie threatens him with a grenade, leading to the Tall Man's retreat. However, his parting words ominously indicate his intentions to return for Mike, escalating the tension of the ongoing conflict.

After spending nearly two years in a coma, Mike experiences a vision where his brother Jody insists he is not yet ready to cross into the light. Despite this encounter, the looming presence of the Tall Man disrupts Mike's peaceful journey.

Just as Reggie arrives to aid Mike, he is ambushed by a demon nurse. In a brave display of strength, Mike fights her off, leading to an explosive confrontation as a sphere bursts from her head, shattering the nearby window.

The next morning, Reggie, accompanied by the Jody-sphere, ventures into the deserted town of Holtsville. The eeriness of the town is heightened when they encounter looters, leading to a dramatic rescue by a young boy named Tim.

After Tim rescues Reggie from being trapped by looters, they bury them in the yard. However, the following morning, they discover the looters' graves empty, along with their pink hearse, propelling them to search for the Tall Man.

In the Holtsville mausoleum, Reggie faces off against a hostile sphere. Overpowered by two women, Tanesha and Rocky, he witnesses the lethal capabilities of the sphere when it eliminates Tanesha, heightening their perilous situation.

Reggie, Tim, and Rocky unite their strengths, venturing towards Boulton, a town known for its large mortuary. During their camping time, the Jody-sphere guides Reggie in a dream, leading them to Mike's location.

After successfully liberating Mike from the Tall Man's clutches, the group finds themselves pursued by the Tall Man once more. A frantic chase unfolds, highlighting the continual battle against his dark forces.

Upon reaching the mortuary, they discover a cryonics facility that reveals the Tall Man's aversion to cold. This crucial realization sets the stage for a tense confrontation that could change the tide of their ongoing struggle.

In a pivotal showdown, Rocky manages to strike the Tall Man with a spear dipped in liquid nitrogen, causing his body to begin melting. Together, they work to trap him in a refrigerator room, highlighting their desperate fight for survival.

As chaos reigns, a golden sphere emerges from the Tall Man's head, wreaking havoc before Reggie, Rocky, and Tim can neutralize it. Their teamwork and resourcefulness become vital in this climactic battle against the Tall Man's relentless forces.

After the battle, Mike awakens to find yellow blood oozing from his wound, realizing that a golden sphere is developing within his own head. As he emerges changed and seemingly cold, he cryptically warns Reggie of the imminent danger that lies ahead.
