Muddula Mavayya

The film opens with Zamindar Ranga Rao plotting to seize the village for a liquor factory. He uses intimidation and political influence to undermine the villagers’ rights. This sets up the central conflict between tyranny and resistance.

A new inspector arrives to maintain order, but he faces hush from the public and direct challenge from Ranga Rao. He proceeds against the Zamindar by filing a case against Raja, painting him as a criminal. The inspector's stance marks a bold stand against oppression, despite personal risk.

Raja, though branded a murderer, chooses to back the villagers and oppose Ranga Rao’s schemes. He risks his life and fights with valor to shield the community, earning their reluctant trust. The case against him intensifies as he challenges the Zamindar directly.

Raja’s devotion to his sister Lakshmi anchors the story; the siblings were left alone in childhood and rely on each other for survival. To cope, Raja becomes a pickpocket, using wit and nerve to navigate a harsh environment. This bond motivates his later actions against Ranga Rao.

As Raja struggles to make ends meet, he crosses paths with Vidya, a beauty who captures his attention. The romance adds emotional depth and personal stakes to his fight against oppression. Vidya’s presence offers a beacon of hope amid the village’s oppression.

Lakshmi arrives in the narrative and witnesses how Ranga Rao oppresses the villagers. She defiantly stands up for justice, even as danger circles. After a warning from Raja, she returns to college, determined to pursue education while remaining vigilant.

Ranga Rao allies with his son Chinna, who pretends to court Lakshmi as part of his scheme to control her and the villagers. Raja, aware of the manipulation, blesses the budding relationship in a quiet moment, while the conspirators move to execute their plan.

Lakshmi conceives a child and soon discovers Chinna’s presence at Ranga Rao’s residence. She rushes to expose the danger posed by Ranga Rao, but the plot moves toward tragedy. Tension mounts as loyalties fracture and violence inches closer.

In a brutal confrontation, Lakshmi is stabbed while attempting to resist Ranga Rao’s schemes. Enraged by the betrayal, Raja kills Chinna in a fit of fury. Lakshmi dies after giving birth to the child, and before dying, she asks Raja to free the villagers from Ranga Rao.

The inspector pledges to back Raja’s fight against tyranny, symbolizing a glimmer of official support. Raja resolves to honor Lakshmi’s dying wish by challenging Ranga Rao more aggressively. The community clings to the hope that justice can prevail.

Raja takes possession of the villagers’ testament documents to protect the newborn from abduction by Ranga Rao. He uses these papers to anchor the child’s rights and to rally support among the people. The documents become a legal shield against the Zamindar’s ambitions.

The nephew grows up under Vidya’s guardianship while Raja continues to plot a course toward justice. Raja’s bond with Lakshmi’s memory fuels his determination to liberate the village. Vidya’s role grounds the boy with care and stability.

Raja confronts Ranga Rao in a decisive showdown and defeats him, bringing down the Zamindar’s reign of terror. The villagers are freed from oppression as law and courage align against tyranny. The victory marks a new beginning for the village and its people.

In the film’s closing moments, the boy conducts the funeral rites of Ranga Rao, symbolizing a full circle from oppression to closure.
