Mr. Crocket

In 1993, young Darren Harper discovers Mr. Crocket's World, a children's television show, after finding its VHS tape outside his home. Captivated by the show, he quickly becomes obsessed with the host, Mr. Crocket, and his puppet companions, Boogaloo Blue and Squawky Bird.

During a family dinner, Darren's stepfather Kevin verbally abuses him, creating a toxic environment. In a shocking turn of events, Mr. Crocket emerges from the television and brutally kills Kevin, leaving Darren and his mother Rhonda in horror.

Fast forward one year, Summer Beverly struggles with her disobedient son, Major, after the recent death of her husband, Jerrel. Meanwhile, Rhonda, now homeless, warns Summer about the dangers posed by Mr. Crocket.

A mysterious mailbox with the Mr. Crocket's World tape appears outside Summer's home. Ignorantly, she gives the tape to Major, unaware of the sinister events it will unleash.

Mr. Crocket continues his rampage by killing drug-abuser Bill and kidnapping his daughter Carey, both of whom were also watching the same Mr. Crocket tape. This event underscores the dangers of the children's show that has ensnared innocent children.

As Major becomes increasingly obsessed with Mr. Crocket, Summer reaches her breaking point and snaps at him. This tension signifies her desperate desire to reclaim her role as a mother amidst the chaos.

That night, Mr. Crocket emerges from the television once again and opens a portal, taking Major with him. This kidnapping adds urgency to Summer's quest to understand the dark influence of the show and save her son.

Realizing the connection between Bill's death and Major's abduction, Summer begins to investigate Mr. Crocket. She learns about his full name, Emmanuel Crocket, and his dark past that involves the alleged kidnapping of a young boy in 1979.

Summer encounters Eddie Briggs, who has a similar tragic story involving the kidnapping of his daughter by Mr. Crocket. Together, they theorize about Rhonda’s knowledge of Mr. Crocket's whereabouts and decide to find her.

They manage to locate Rhonda at an encampment filled with televisions. Rhonda reveals that Mr. Crocket's powers are rooted in the airwaves, and she has been using her telekinetic abilities to predict his next moves.

As the trio confronts Mr. Crocket, he viciously attacks them, stabbing Rhonda in a fit of rage. Summer and Eddie enter the portal to the nightmarish set of Mr. Crocket's World, now a prison for children, including Major.

Inside the twisted world, Mr. Crocket recounts his tragic childhood fraught with abuse, leading to a tragic confrontation with the police. He details how a deal with the Devil granted him power to protect neglected children by exacting revenge on their abusive parents.

Eddie reveals his true identity as Anthony, the child that Mr. Crocket once tried to save. However, he finds himself rejected by Mr. Crocket, leading to a brutal death at the hands of Boogaloo Blue, showcasing the dark side of the children's entertainer.

Facing an impossible choice, Major is given a knife to kill his mother but, moved by Summer's love, the knife transforms into a marker. Summer uses it to defeat Mr. Crocket, slicing him in half and allowing Major and the other children to escape.

Rhonda reunites with Darren, while Summer works to mend her relationship with Major after the harrowing ordeal. However, as time passes, she realizes that Major's aggressive behavior is worsening, indicating that Mr. Crocket's sinister influence is far from over.
