At St. Rita’s, Melissa is haunted not only by memories of her sister but by nightmares that flash terrifying fragments of the past. Rumors swirl around the school, stirred up by a relentless bully, Shirley, who gleefully feeds the fear that Mouse—Melissa’s nickname—is somehow marked by the old house. The head nun, Sister Gloria, tries to tamp down the whispers and keep the girls focused on school, faith, and appearance of safety. But the shadow of Hull House doesn’t stay buried; it rises again when Shirley, spurred by bravado and cruelty, decides to throw her own Halloween party inside Hull House, crowning it with the kind of mischief that invites danger rather than laughter.

What begins as a prank quickly spirals. Shirley plans a Halloween “sacrifice” as a showpiece, a staged ritual lifted from a tainted, stolen book of demonic rites. Mouse is brought into the loop, not as a participant but as the target of a cruel joke that soon turns deadly serious. The plan is simple: lure Mouse to Hull House with a few friends—Rick, Z-Boy, and others—and move toward a mock ceremony that veers toward something terrible when the occult energy truly awakens. Also drawn into the scheme are Terri, the teenage friend of Mouse, and Kurt, along with Johnny, Bibi, and the others who thought they were curious about an old legend rather than prey to it. The party kicks off with the usual Halloween chaos—costumes, laughter, and the electric tension of a haunted building coming alive under the wrong kind of attention.

As the night deepens, a stolen demonic ritual book becomes the key that unlocks something malevolent. A simple lipstick tube, taken from the house as a prop for the prank, becomes an instrument of possession, a talisman that seems to twist reality as it moves from person to person. The lipstick’s influence spreads like a fever: Shirley finds herself under its spell, then Rick is touched by it, followed quickly by Z-Boy, Terri, and Kurt. Each fall under a different kind of demonic sway, and the house itself seems to tighten its grip on everyone inside. The situation deteriorates rapidly: possession, unusual violence, and a creeping sense that the Halloween spectacle is no longer a game but a doorway to something darkest and unanswerable.

Terri is briefly saved when Sister Gloria joins the fray and uses Holy Water to exorcise the demon from her. Yet the crisis intensifies as the possessed pull the party deeper into Hull House’s ruined rooms. The demon Angela, once a girl who walked these halls, has become singularly intent on a terrible ritual: she aims to sacrifice Melissa to the Devil, proving her devotion and balancing the old pact that haunts Hull House. The plan collapses into a battlefield of faith and fear as the group, now separated by the house’s crumbling corridors, fights to reclaim Melissa and to survive.

Real danger finally forces the group to retreat with Perry and Father Bob joining the fight alongside Sister Gloria, Johnny, and Bibi. The crew returns to Hull House with one mission in mind: rescue Melissa from the altar and stop Angela’s plan. But the path to safety is jagged and lethal. Father Bob is killed by a demonic version of Kurt in a brutal moment, and Perry is killed by the demonized Z-Boy, leaving the survivors reeling but more determined than ever. Johnny, with grit and quick thinking, helps shield his companions from further assaults as Bibi and Sister Gloria marshal whatever faith and tools they still trust.

With the holy water they brought, the trio—Bibi, Johnny, and Sister Gloria—remove the last of the demonic residuals, but Angela herself remains, a gleaming threat who has embraced a terrifying form: a Lamia-like creature that stalks the group as they manage to secure Melissa on an altar. The two sides clash in a moment of stark truth about faith and power. Angela challenges Sister Gloria with a cruel line about faith, and the nun answers with a quiet, steadfast resolve. The moment is punctuated by a shocking act: Angela decapitates Sister Gloria, only to have the sister pull her head down into her habit in a surprising, almost relic-like survivor’s hold.

In a final, desperate gambit, Sister Gloria agrees to take Melissa’s place on the altar to lure Angela into a trap. Angela yields the sacred weapon to Melissa, promising power if she murders the nun. But Melissa, using the newfound strength of stance and mercy gleaned from her sister’s memory, reverses the trap and stabs Angela instead. The last of Angela’s demonic forces falls when Sister Gloria—armed with a super soaker filled with holy water—deals the final, cleansing blow. The four survivors—Melissa, Bibi, Johnny, and Sister Gloria—make their way out of Hull House, their path lit by the dawn they barely deserved.

Outside, the danger lingers in one more unsettling note: a final image shows a student discovering the lipstick, now a living, serpentine presence that coils and strikes. The evidence that Hull House’s curse might never be entirely contained sits heavy in the air as the group returns to the safety of the school, where their lives begin to find a fragile equilibrium once more. The story closes on a grim reminder that some legacies of fear outlive the night they were born, and a single relic can still awaken what we fear most.
