In a tense, globe-trotting setup, John Dresham, a CIA dirty-deeds man, teams up with Anthony Chapel, a seasoned black-ops organizer, to hire a team of mercenaries led by John Seeger. Their target is a small, resource-rich island in Southern Africa known as Galmoral, under French control, where the trio pretends the mission is about humanitarian aid while their real aim is to claim the island’s oil and diamond wealth for themselves.

The operation quickly spirals when some of Seeger’s soldiers disobey orders and seize the French Ambassador — the French Ambassador, Rudiger Eberle and his family, using them as leverage. The plan unravels as French troops respond with force, and the assault turns deadly, especially for Seeger’s close ally, the radio operator nicknamed “Radio” Jones, played by Radio Jones. The tragedy shakes Seeger to his core, and Maxine Barnol, the spy posing as a journalist—Maxine Barnol—begins to draw connections that hint at a larger CIA involvement.

Back in the United States, Seeger visits Radio’s widow, Shondra Jones, and his promise to look after her and her young son Eddie Jones becomes a personal compass amid the mounting chaos. He also fights off attempts by Dresham’s men to silence him, showing his resolve and the personal stakes driving his choices. The uneasy alliance between Dresham and Chapel intensifies when Chapel orchestrates a second bid to extract a favor from Seeger by kidnapping Shondra and Eddie, coercing him to cooperate by threatening their safety. The mission’s stated objective is now tied to rescuing Kamal Dasan, the son of the gun runner Ahmet Dasan, who has been arrested and placed in the Randveld Prison just outside Cape Town, with extradition looming to the United States.

As the web tightens, Dresham learns of the plan but not the full scope. He crosses paths with Maxine, who exploits the confusion to steer him toward a bank heist that supposedly hides the target’s prize. In a deft use of influence, Dresham pushes for access to security briefings and climbs the security perimeter, all the while unaware of Kamal’s actual fate. Seeger, moving through a maze of mistrust and shifting loyalties, leads his team in a precarious chase that loops around the prison and the city’s financial fortress.

When the mercenaries finally breach the prison, they discover Kamal is no longer there, shifting the mission’s focus from a rescue to a strategic gambit. In the Cape Town bank, Seeger convinces the Greek government to detain Kamal Dasan’s father as a leverage point, and the team executes a high-wire escape that keeps Dresham’s ambitions in check—at least for the moment. The operation pivots to a broader jailbreak-like sequence, where the planned leverage becomes a tangled dance of betrayals and investigations, all culminating in a dramatic, hard-edged climax.

In the end, Seeger’s relentless pursuit of truth and survival pays off. He manages to locate and rescue Shondra Jones and Eddie Jones, taking down Chapel and his guards in a final, decisive confrontation. The film concludes on a note of grim resolve: justice on Seeger’s terms, and a hard-won sense of closure for Radio Jones’s memory, as the mercenary crew disperses and the island’s oily secrets remain, for the moment, as dangerous as they are desirable.

This story unflinchingly traces how murky loyalties, high-stakes power plays, and personal vows collide in a world where every alliance is provisional and every mission carries a heavy cost. The characters move through a landscape of political intrigue, raw action, and moral ambiguity, with the constant undercurrent that the line between helping the vulnerable and exploiting the vulnerable is disturbingly thin.
