Lost Bullet

Lino, a skilled mechanic with a troubled past, finds himself caught in a web of corruption and revenge after being falsely implicated in the murder of Officer Charas. Throughout the film, Lino’s main goal is to clear his name and seek justice for Charas, who trusted him and tried to help him early on. In the climax, Lino discovers Charas’s stolen car hidden in a junkyard, which becomes the crucial piece of evidence he needs. He repairs and sets the car on fire at a body shop, knowing that the bullet used in Charas’s shooting was fired from Areski’s gun. This “lost bullet” becomes a symbol of hope for Lino—an element capable of proving Areski’s guilt and his own innocence.

By recovering the car and the bullet, Lino hopes to expose the corrupt cop Areski, who had shot Charas in a case of betrayal and cover-up. However, Areski escapes before he can be caught, leaving Lino’s quest unresolved in this film. The title “Lost Bullet” refers to the only piece of evidence that can clear Lino’s name, emphasizing that even when seemingly lost, the truth can be eventually uncovered. Despite not achieving outright revenge, Lino’s actions suggest a desire to restore justice and his own integrity, with his future open-ended for continuation in a sequel.
