Krishna Cottage

The film opens with a function celebrating the launch of Kahi-Ankahi Baatein by Professor Siddharth Das. He donates a copy of the book to JC College, marking its importance to the campus. The event hints at a powerful, possibly haunted, collection of nine-and-a-half stories.

A year after the launch, the college principal quietly removes the book from the library and places it in an abandoned storeroom. This act foreshadows the deadly consequences tied to the book. The library's action plants the seed for the coming hauntings.

A group of friends—Manav, Shanti, Kabir, Akshay, Nupur, and Talli—are introduced as Disha joins as a new student. The circle forms around budding romances and rivalries, setting the stage for the horror to unfold.

During Manav and Shanti’s engagement, Disha attends and a chandelier collapses toward them. Manav acts just in time to save Disha, and the incident becomes a pivotal moment that binds them to the house’s haunting.

The group drives home but collides with an ice wall that vanishes, leaving their car stranded. They are forced to spend the night at Krishna Cottage, where strange phenomena begin to occur.

Inside Krishna Cottage, Disha reveals that the spirit of her deceased boyfriend Amar Khanna is responsible for the disturbances. The claim ties the haunting to a specific relationship rather than abstract evil.

Back at the library, Nupur reads Kahi-Ankahi Baatein hoping to impress Disha and is suddenly haunted. She dies as the supernatural force asserts its control. This marks the book as deadly to those who handle it.

Talli overhears Professor Siddharth Das and the college principal discussing the book’s curse and the need to destroy it. The revelation confirms that destroying the book may be necessary to stop the tragedies.

Talli retrieves the book from Nupur’s house and later hands it to Kabir, who reads it out of curiosity. The same spirit kills Kabir, escalating the body count and the danger.

Manav confesses to Shanti that his love lies with her, not Disha, which enrages Shanti. She drives to confront Disha, setting in motion a confrontation that reveals Disha’s true history.

Shanti meets Disha’s elderly mother, who reveals that Disha has been dead for 22 years. This shocks the group and confirms the supernatural nature of the hauntings.

Realizing the danger, Sunita Menon, a renowned spiritual medium, performs a séance to summon Disha in an attempt to calm the spirit. The séance marks a turning point as the spirit’s power is engaged directly.

While the other events unfold, Talli reads more about Krishna Cottage but is killed by Disha before he can act on anything. The loss underscores the unstoppable nature of the curse.

Professor Das burns the last pages of Kahi-Ankahi Baatein and fondly remembers Disha, but dies of a heart attack before anyone can intervene. This seals the book’s unresolved fate and raises questions about the past.

Manav discovers Amar Khanna’s corpse preserved in ice and learns he is Amar in a past life; Disha’s confession of love in the past is revealed and the truth of the avalanche burial comes to light. Sunita suggests ending the haunting by the couple’s marriage, but the plan is interrupted by Disha’s spirit. Manav sacrifices himself by jumping to his death to protect Shanti, only to awaken in a nearby cottage with a letter from Disha explaining that true love is giving, not possessing.
