Raja is a ruthless man who wanted to marry Gauri, a pretty villager. However, he knew she would never consent to marry an old powerful man like him, so he sent her a photo of the handsome Shankar instead, tricking her into believing she would be marrying a young, attractive king. This deception was meant to secure her agreement to the arranged marriage.
