Set in 1890 Fairfield, Kentucky, the personable Judge Priest, Will Rogers, sits at the center of a town where everyday justice and personal loyalties collide. A simple chicken theft case against Jeff Poindexter, prosecuted by the ambitious Senator Horace Maydew, tests the boundaries between politics and mercy. After a few moments of distraction from the courtroom crowd, Jeff is declared innocent.
