Kajal Sharma is the daughter of Professor Sidhant Sharma. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Karan is a ruthless criminal working for Gajraj Chaudhary. The film opens with Gajraj ordering [Karan] to eliminate a journalist who has spoken ill of him, a hit carried out in a bustling marketplace that Kajal and her father happen to witness. As the crime unfolds, Kajal’s father reports the atrocity, and the tension pulls the family into a dangerous orbit. In a bold and brutal moment, [Karan] breaks into Kajal and Sidhant’s home, seemingly prepared to finish the job, and Kajal, driven by instinct and fear, slaps him. The act shatters the distance between them as their eyes meet in a charged moment, leaving Karan momentarily stunned and retreating.
[Karan] then seeks out Tulsi, a courtesan who is in love with him, hoping to understand the pull he feels toward Kajal. It becomes clear that he cannot forget Kajal, and the memory of her eyes haunts him. He begins stalking Kajal, a troubling turn that makes her feel unsettled and unsafe. Kajal speaks up about his behavior, accusing him of seeing her only as an object of lust, and [Karan] withdraws, tormented by his own impulses. The contrast between his rough exterior and the faint spark of something better grows sharper as the story unfolds.
In a moment that reveals [Karan]’s soft side, he saves a child named Timepass from abuse at a bar, a rescue that triggers a painful flashback to his orphaned beginnings and a life forced into crime. The act of kindness plants a seed of responsibility in him, and he begins to take Timepass under his wing, introducing him to friends who share their rough lives and offering them food and shelter. This glimpse of humanity softens his image and plants the possibility that he could choose a different path.
The next chapter follows Kajal and a group of women traveling by bus when they are harassed. [Karan] steps in just in time, defending them with courage and decisiveness. Kajal, seeing his bravery and his willingness to risk himself for others, begins to soften toward him. Through Timepass and his friends, she learns more about the man behind the rough exterior. She recognizes that his life has been shaped by hardship, and she starts to believe that the young man she’s come to know could deserve a chance at redemption. Their budding relationship grows as Kajal quietly befriends Timepass, learning more about [Karan]’s past and the barriers he has faced. Encouraged by Kajal, [Karan] starts to abandon his criminal ways in pursuit of a life with her, and [Tulsi] is left to come to terms with this shift, choosing to stay as a friend rather than a foe.
Meanwhile, Raju is introduced as the son of Ramakant Sahay, a carefree and flirtatious youth whose life becomes deeply entwined with Kajal’s fate. A longtime pact between [Ramakant Sahay] and [Professor Sidhant Sharma] means that Kajal and Raju are destined to marry when they come of age. When Kajal discovers the arrangement, she confesses her love for [Karan] and refuses to honor the pact, which shocks and wounds [Professor Sidhant Sharma]. A heart attack then adds urgency to the situation, and Kajal is compelled to marry [Raju] to honor her father’s health and the family’s expectations. [Karan] pleads with her to forget him, but Kajal is resolute, and he must watch as she becomes Mrs. Raju instead of his own beloved.
Time passes, and Kajal finds herself drawn to [Raju], their relationship evolving into something more than a hurried obligation. The couple returns to India after a France honeymoon, and Kajal discovers she is pregnant. The news brings a mix of joy and fear, as they worry about raising a child in a world shadowed by crime. [Raju] insists he did not know about his father’s illegal dealings, and both he and Kajal decide to leave Ramakant’s house to offer their child a safer upbringing.
Gajraj Chaudhary grows anxious that [Raju] might become a liability to his criminal empire, and he orders [Karan] to kill him. [Karan] travels to [Raju]’s home with the grim intent to finish the job, but a chance encounter with Kajal causes him to rethink his mission. He chooses to protect [Raju] for Kajal’s sake, refusing to end the life that Kajal has chosen to embrace.
A dramatic night follows as [Raju] is attacked by hitmen and rescued by [Karan], who carries him back to safety. While [Raju] regains consciousness, he overhears Kajal apologizing to [Karan] for how she treated him in the past. He understands the complexity of their history and respects Kajal’s deeper feelings, even suggesting that if their child is a boy, he should bear [Karan]’s name.
Gajraj’s goons close in, and the trio—[Karan], [Raju], and Kajal—flee to Tulsi’s hideaway for sanctuary and to ensure the safe delivery of the baby. The fight with the goons intensifies, with Gajraj himself in pursuit. As the struggle peaks, [Karan] steps in to shield [Raju], taking a fatal burst of bullets. Timepass hands a gun to [Karan], who uses it to end Gajraj’s domineering reign. In the moment of ultimate sacrifice, [Karan] dies just as Kajal gives birth to a son.
The film closes with [Raju] cradling their newborn, and Kajal naming the child after [Karan], the man who chose love and protection over crime. The circle completes as the family honors the memory of a life that began in conflict but ended in a fragile, hopeful new beginning.
