An honest, dutiful police inspector named Kranti Kumar lives with his aging grandparents. During a mission in the south, he crosses paths with a village girl named Koyal, who shares a simple life with her parents and her little sister, Munni. Yet happiness takes a sharp turn when a mysterious man named Gopinath confronts Kranti Kumar and drops a bombshell: he is the bastard son of a corrupt politician known as Amavas. The revelation shocks Kranti Kumar, especially when his grandfather steps in to corroborate a dark family history that Kranti had never suspected. The stranger’s claim plants the seed of a dangerous truth that Kranti must confront, even as the engagement news continues to loom over the village.

In the shadows of this growing intrigue, the life story behind Amavas unfolds with brutal clarity. Amavas began as a poor beggar who clawed his way into power through Kamalkant, a ruthless politician. He becomes Kamal’s right-hand man, while a young village girl named Gayatri Devi falls for him. Amavas drugs and seduces her, and Kamal, seeing a rise in Amavas’s clout, pressures him to enter politics as an independent candidate after Kamal fails to secure a party ticket. Amavas reinvent’s himself as Vijay Bahadur Kunwar to gain status and influence, and soon the political landscape shifts under Kamal’s craft and Amavas’s ambition. Gayatri Devi becomes pregnant, only to be betrayed by Amavas, who disowns her and the baby. Heartbreak turns to tragedy when Gayatri Devi dies while giving birth to Kranti, and her grave becomes a well-known marker in the village.

Meanwhile, Amavas marries Tara, a wealthy landlord’s daughter who takes control of a palace she calls home. Tara’s moral stance hardens as she witnesses Amavas’s corruption, and she ultimately refuses to bear him children. Kranti, fueled by the truth about his origins, vows to avenge his mother’s suffering and sets out to uncover the full story. He digs into the past, finds his mother’s grave, and meets Tara again. Tara recognizes that Kranti is Amavas’s son, and she accepts him as a second mother while they both resolve to bring Amavas down.

A fateful day brings Kranti face-to-face with Amavas. When goons attack Amavas, Kranti saves him, and Amavas, oddly enough, thanks him for the mercy. As Kranti’s crusade gains momentum, Amavas intensifies his schemes. He learns that Tara and Kranti are plotting his downfall and orders his slave Bhola to kill Tara. Bhola hesitates at first but eventually carries out the brutal act, stabbing Tara as she tries to flee. Kranti reaches the scene too late to save her, and Tara’s death fragments Kranti’s resolve before the eyes of those who hoped for a peaceful union. Enraged, Kranti attacks Amavas with a ferocity born of years of hidden pain, and the authorities soon arrest him for his acts of vengeance.

Amavas, not finished with his schemes, plans to forcibly marry Koyal through a demonic ritual after a corrupt priest suggests his days are numbered. Kamal, a former ally who has tired of Amavas’s cruelty, tries to intervene and protect Koyal, but Bhola murders him too. With Koyal and her little sister Munni in danger, the story races toward a dramatic rescue. Kranti breaks out of jail, fights through Amavas’s henchmen, and reaches the chamber where Koyal waits, determined to save her and Munni.

In a brutal climactic scene, Kranti confronts his father and, wielding a trident, exacts a vengeance that mirrors the tragedy that birthed him. Amavas dies with defiant final words, proclaiming his own name in a grim salute: > Amavas Zindabad.

With the dust settled, Kranti Kumar surrenders to the police and accepts a three-year prison sentence. After serving his time, he is released and reunites with Koyal. They marry and choose to live a quieter life together, their love tempered by the years of struggle and the cost of truth.
