Parag Dixit and his girlfriend Mansi dream of a peaceful life together, but their happiness is shattered when Parag is falsely implicated in a drug case. The trouble is sparked by his associate Keshav Rathod, and Parag is arrested in Bandra on charges of firing at a police officer and possessing narcotics, while Keshav is gravely injured and hospitalized. This turn of events pulls Parag into a brutal new reality, where the promise of ordinary days seems distant and fragile.

Inside an overcrowded jail barrack, Parag grapples with claustrophobic conditions and mental strain, slowly learning to endure his confinement. Mansi brings in Advocate Harish Bhatia for a preliminary hearing, hoping to secure bail, but the judge denies it, forcing Parag to confront a longer, uncertain ordeal. The court process moves slowly; a formal charge sheet is filed, and because of the seriousness of the offense and the risk of tampering with evidence, bail remains out of reach.

Months pass and tragedy strikes when Keshav dies in hospital, a blow that adds a new layer of helplessness to Parag’s already fragile situation. In this harsh environment, he forges an uneasy alliance with Nawaab, a gangster who offers a sliver of sympathy and a sense of understanding in a world that has turned hostile. Meanwhile, Ghani, who becomes Baba Bhai’s henchman, is released on bail, only to confront a cruel personal truth—his wife has remarried—and he ultimately takes his own life after this discovery.

The escape saga outside the walls continues with Galib bribing his way to freedom, while Joe D’ Souza Joe D’ Souza is granted bail and chooses to celebrate by donating his clothes. Parag’s anger surfaces in a streetwise confrontation as he beats Joe, an act that lands him in solitary confinement for ten days at Nawab’s request. After this stern rebuke, Parag is permitted a fragile burst of access to the outside world: with Kabir’s help, he is allowed to visit the hospital to see [Mansi] again and to meet his mother, Parag’s mother. Nawab’s stern warning about staying away from gangsters underscores the precarious balance he must maintain to survive.

Two years slip by in a haze of legal battles and shifting loyalties. Nawab’s world-worn wisdom and Parag’s own stubborn persistence push him through the decades-long maze of the system. Nawab’s blunt confession about a past murder—how his younger brother, entangled with a gangster, forced Nawab into taking another life—casts a long shadow over Parag’s choices and moral compass. The weight of these revelations tests Parag’s faith in himself and in the city’s institutions.

Eventually, Parag is convicted again and sentenced to ten years, having already served two; eight years remain. In the face of bleak prospects and a lingering sense of injustice, he contemplates ending his life. He seeks a way out through Kabir, who agrees to help if Parag can deliver something in return. A routine transfer to another jail unfolds, and in a cruel twist, a corrupt officer places Parag in Kabir’s transport. Kabir and his associates stage an accident and escape, but Parag stays behind, a choice that Nawab learns about from Jailor Arvind Joshi, who feels differently about Parag’s fate.

In Kolhapur Jail, Parag clings to a stubborn strand of hope. Six months later, Mansi hires a new lawyer who finally proves Parag’s innocence. The charges dissolve, and Parag is acquitted. In the days that follow, he and Mansi make a quiet return to each other’s lives, and they visit Nawab together in his confinement, a testimony to resilience and the unyielding pull of personal truth.
