Mayumi is imprisoned after viciously attacking her boyfriend and his lover. In Cell 31 she meets devout inmates who sing hymns and discuss the Bible. A clash with a rival block sparks a gang war, leading the warden and guards to inflict torture and sexual humiliation. When a new inmate arrives, Mayumi instantly recognizes her, sparking further chaos.
