Kyle receives a phone call that his wife has been attacked and rushes home, but arrives too late to save her. The killer, Sergio Kovic, uses his influence to secure an acquittal, so there is no conviction. The event triggers Kyle's quest for justice and sets the revenge arc in motion.

In court, Sergio Kovic is acquitted thanks to bribe-driven influence, sparking Kyle's rage. He shoots Sergio in front of the courthouse, a public act of vengeance. He is arrested immediately afterward.

Kyle is sentenced to life without parole for the courthouse killing and is transported to Kravavi Prison. He enters a brutal, corrupt system where brutality is the norm. The warden and guards make daily life cruel and dehumanizing.

On arrival, a guard beats Kyle for hesitating to give up his wedding ring, a symbol of his old life. The incident foreshadows the ruthless dynamic between inmates and guards. He realizes survival will require adaptation to a corrupted regime.

The next morning, Kyle witnesses Billy Cooper being dragged to a cell to be raped by Andrei, a fighter tied to the Russian Mafia. The scene reveals the system's abuses and heightens Billy's precarious fate. It deepens Kyle's resolve to endure.

Kyle faces Andrei in his first prison match and defeats him by biting a large chunk from Andrei's neck. The gruesome victory sparks a regional shock and a mental breakdown as onlookers react with horror. Kyle's grasp on his humanity begins to fray.

Kyle is moved to a cell with Inmate 451, a feared prisoner with a reputation for killing his cellmates. Over time they form a wary alliance as they navigate Kravavi's dangers. 451 becomes a catalyst for Kyle's shift from victim to survivor.

451 explains the prison's power dynamics, including the alliance between the Russian Mafia and guards. Kyle learns from Billy's limited perspective and meets Malakai, another American prisoner bound to a wheelchair. The trio reveals how control is negotiated inside Kravavi.

Billy makes multiple escape attempts, but Malakai betrays him to the guards during Independence Day celebrations. Billy is beaten and dies, but his final words urge Kyle to stay true to who he is. The event intensifies Kyle's determination to fight for his inner peace.

After Billy's death, Kyle refuses to fight Valya in his next match and is hung by his arms outside for all to see. The act provokes a rebellion among prisoners and a temporary alliance of rival gangs. 451 begins formulating a plan to escape.

General Hruschov demands one last fight against Miloc, a massive prisoner kept separate from the main population. Kyle refuses to submit, their confrontation sparks a riot, and Miloc is fatally shot protecting Kyle. 451 launches a direct assault to facilitate Kyle's escape, scoring a crucial win for their plan.

Kyle escapes in a guard's car with 451's help; 451 stays behind to assassinate General Hruschov, leaving his fate unknown. Kyle uses the chaos to pull away from Kravavi and begin a new life abroad.

Kyle makes it back to the United States and exposes the corruption of Kravavi to the government. Three months later, Kravavi Prison is shut down, marking the end of the corrupt regime and a costly battle for Kyle's humanity.
