Chennabasappa, a successful manager in Bangalore, dreams of building a better home for his family and needs capital quickly. He decides to sell his plantation in the ancestral village to a soap company to raise the required money. This decision sets off a chain of events that will test family ties and moral boundaries.

Baswa, the long-time caretaker of the plantation, reacts with anger and distress to the sale. He sees the land as a sacred mother figure whose sale would dishonor generations of toil. His loyalty to Chennabasappa is tested by the moral weight of the deal.

Uma starts behaving oddly and speaks about a dark past involving her father figure. The family initially doubts her, but her statements grow more insistent. Her behavior marks the onset of a sinister influence within the home.

The family discovers that Chennabasappa seduced Baswa's wife when he was a teenager. Baswa's wife became pregnant and, overwhelmed by shame, jumped into a well. This buried history casts Chennabasappa in a new, sinister light and links the present turmoil to a violent past.

Chennabasappa tries various medications and treatments to bring Uma back to normal. The efforts prove ineffective against the mysterious disturbance. The family begins to realize that rational science may be insufficient against the unseen forces at play.

Several fake exorcists visit the family, offering evasive talks and flashy rituals. They prey on the family’s fear and extract money with promises of salvation. Their shallow counsel provides no real relief and deepens the family's vulnerability.

A Tantrik named Puttachari arrives and attempts to use a ritual to control or harm Uma, in a bid to resurrect his own devil. Nandish interrupts the assault, saving Uma from a grave danger. The incident amplifies the threat surrounding the family.

A powerful yet sane Tantrik named Shashtri arrives and begins a cleansing process. He shifts the investigation from superstition to uncovering the root causes within the house. His presence signals a turning point in the struggle.

Shashtri identifies a spell cast on a lemon and an ugly voodoo doll that anchors the unholy force in Uma. The discovery links the possession to a crafted magical object rather than a random haunting. This tangible method explains how the evil took hold.

Through the ritual, the soul inside Uma reveals its identity and explains how the unholy force was sent by a village Tantrik paid by Baswa. The revelation exposes the conspiracy behind Uma's possession. The family learns who was behind the attack and why.

Uma regains her normal self after a few days of purification and exorcism. The household breathes a sigh of relief as the immediate danger passes. The calm, however, does not erase the buried past entirely.

Nandish travels to the ancestral village to confront Baswa and seek answers about the evil's origin. He is determined to see the truth and to face the person whose actions sparked the horror. The journey marks a new phase in his quest for justice.

Upon arrival, Nandish learns that Baswa died a few days earlier, removing the possibility of direct confrontation. He is left with questions about Baswa's role and the larger conspiracy. The death shifts the focus to posthumous revelations and spiritual inquiries.

Determined to uncover the truth, Nandish begs a local Tantrik to help him meet Baswa's spirit. The plan is to get answers from beyond the grave and to understand who orchestrated the evil. The film ends with this unresolved but hopeful spiritual pursuit.
