Frozen

Childhood friends Dan Walker and Joe Lynch arrive at a picturesque ski resort in New England with Dan's girlfriend, Parker O'Neill. Excited for a fun day on the slopes, they are hopeful for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon together.

To save money, Dan persuades Parker to strike a deal with Jason, the ski lift attendant, to allow them access without paying in full. This agreement sets the stage for their adventurous day ahead as they ride up the mountain.

As they ascend the mountain, the ski lift unexpectedly halts for a short time. After a moment of confusion, it resumes operation, allowing the group to continue their journey upward.

Once on the slopes, the trio watches Parker struggling to maintain her balance on the snowboard. Their laughter fills the air as they enjoy the light-hearted moments of the day, completely unaware of the looming danger.

As evening approaches, a snowstorm looms, and the resort announces its early closure. The trio reminds Jason about their earlier agreement, negotiating one last opportunity to ride the lift before it shuts down.

Just before reaching the summit, Jason is replaced by his colleague, Rifkin. Unfortunately, this new attendant makes the decision to close the lift while the friends are still suspended high above the mountain.

The friends initially perceive the lift shutdown as a minor inconvenience, but as darkness falls and the snowstorm intensifies, panic begins to set in. Their concerns mount as they realize their predicament could be dire.

After hours of waiting in the freezing cold, a snowcat approaches, giving the friends a fleeting sense of hope. However, the driver receives a call to return to base at the last moment, dashing their hopes of immediate rescue.

In a desperate move, Dan decides to leap from the ski lift chair in search of help. Unfortunately, he suffers a catastrophic compound fracture in both legs, drastically changing the dynamics of their survival.

As Dan struggles with his injuries, a wolf approaches him growling menacingly. Parker bravely intervenes by throwing her snowboard to scare away the predator, but the terror of their situation becomes ever more real.

Joe attempts to scale the ski lift cable to aid Dan but is compelled to turn back after inflicting painful injuries on his hands. The fear for his friend's safety heightens the stakes as time continues to drag on.

Tragically, Dan is surrounded by a pack of wolves, unleashing a horrific attack on him. Parker and Joe can only watch in horror, as their worst fears manifest in front of their eyes.

Morning breaks with Parker waking up in agony, discovering her hand is painfully stuck to the ski lift's safety bar. She musters her strength and pulls it away, stripping off her skin in the process.

Parker makes a desperate attempt to jump down from the ski lift. However, the chair drops unexpectedly, sending her into a painful fall that injures her further but ignites her will to survive.

Ultimately, Parker manages to reach safety and flags down a passing car. The driver, Peder Melhuse, calls for help, giving Parker a glimmer of hope as she hears Dan's calming voice telling her she will be okay.
