As Daniel and Emily depart, they knock out a lamp, triggering a blaze that engulfs the mansion. The fire kills Jessica, Mia, and Victor, while Daniel and Emily escape alive. The weekend ends with the mansion destroyed and the inheritance unresolved, but at least Daniel survives the ordeal.
