Against the backdrop of the Ming Dynasty in China, Li Yilong, a town bully Tony Leung, earns little warmth from anyone with his boorish manners and reckless streak—except from his sister Feng, a sharp-witted young woman who dabbles in cross-dressing and defies easy labels Zhao Wei.
