Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi

From the opening, Brijmohan declares an unusual rule: no women may enter the garage and no pictures of women may be displayed, except in emergencies. This hardline stance reveals his deep distrust of women and sets the tone for the brothers' interactions with female characters. The policy frames the evolving dynamic as the female characters challenge the brothers' attitudes throughout the story.

During a night shift, Renu arrives at the garage with a car that won't start and pleads for assistance. Manmohan is asleep and resistant at first, but he eventually agrees to repair the vehicle. Renu leaves without paying, creating the initial motive for later confrontation.

Manmohan completes the repair and informs Renu about the service, but she forgets her wallet. Inside her purse he finds a pass to a concert, which he reasons could be used to track her down and collect payment. He decides to go to the concert to recover his money.

He reaches the venue to claim his money but is refused entry because the pass bears Renu's name. Unable to enter, he waits outside, hoping to intercept Renu when she leaves. The obstacle foreshadows trouble in the pursuit.

After missing Renu, Manmohan ends up waiting in her car and dozes off. When Renu returns home, a family servant spots the intruder and chases him away. He escapes into the night, leaving the mystery of the money unresolved.

On his way back, he sees men dumping a corpse on the road and fleeing the scene. He tells his brothers about the eerie sight the following morning and they laugh at him. The incident plants a seed of danger that recurs later in the plot.

Renu later requests help to fix her car, and this time Jagmohan volunteers to go. He arrives at Renu's house but finds himself unsettled by the presence of Sheela, and his fear of women surfaces. To calm his nerves, he reportedly drinks ten glasses of water before attempting anything.

Renu's father is approached by Raja Hardayal Singh and his conspirators, who want his daughter married to Hardayal's brother. Unaware that the brothers are crooks, he agrees to discuss the arrangement. Hardayal's plan hinges on exploiting the situation while past encounters linger in memory.

In captivity, Renu and Manmohan meet Kamini, the woman whose photo was found in Brijmohan's room. Brijmohan and Kamini were once lovers, but she was married off to Raja Hardayal, fueling Brijmohan's hatred of women. Kamini's appearance reveals personal stakes behind the brothers' attitudes.

Kamini tries to free Renu and Manmohan but a guard interrupts, forcing her to flee. She hurriedly sets out to find Brijmohan, hoping he will stand with them against the criminals. Her escape marks a turning point toward a possible reunion of past lovers and current allies.

Brijmohan, revealed as a boxing champion, shows up with his two brothers to confront Raja Hardayal's men. The brothers swing into action, fighting the criminals to free Renu and Manmohan. Kamini's reappearance strengthens their resolve to face the threat together.

With the villains defeated, Manmohan and Renu decide to marry. Brijmohan rekindles his bond with Kamini, and the two marry, while Jagmohan and Sheela also wed, bringing a hopeful, celebratory end to the intertwined lives of the brothers.
