Big Trouble

In an unusual high-school game called 'Killer', students engage in a playful hunt where they must eliminate each other using squirt guns. Matt Arnold focuses on his target, classmate Jenny Herk, unaware of the chaos about to unfold.

As Matt plots to catch Jenny off-guard at her house, real hit-men arrive to settle a score with Arthur Herk. This convergence of harmless antics and serious crime creates a scenario that spirals out of control.

Police officers Monica Romero and Walter Kramitz respond to the bizarre scene unfolding at the Herk household. Their arrival marks the beginning of a series of convoluted events that intertwine the fate of all involved.

Matt's friend Andrew calls his father, Eliot Arnold, to assist with the absurd situation. Eliot's arrival leads to an unexpected romantic connection with Anne Herk, adding complexity to the already bizarre circumstances.

Amidst the chaos, a sweet romance blossoms between Matt and Jenny. This budding relationship provides a refreshing contrast to the comedic turmoil erupting around them.

Nina, the Herk family’s housemaid, forms an unexpected bond with Puggy, a young homeless man living within the Herk's property. His heroic intervention during the chaos deepens their connection.

Realizing the imminent threat posed by the hit-men, Arthur seeks out an arms dealer to procure a rocket launcher. However, he mistakenly ends up with a suitcase nuclear bomb, amplifying the absurdity.

Two escaped convicts, Snake and Eddie, commit a bar heist and inadvertently kidnap both Arthur and Puggy, taking the nuclear bomb as they flee. This band of criminals unwittingly escalates the situation further.

As Matt makes another attempt to 'kill' Jenny in a mall parking lot, a security guard misinterprets their squirt guns for actual firearms. This misunderstanding forces them to flee back to the Herk residence amid growing confusion.

The convicts force Arthur back to the Herk home, capturing everyone inside including Jenny and Puggy. Their ultimate goal is to escape to the airport with the suitcase bomb in tow, heightening the stakes.

Nina manages to escape from her hiding place and frees the captives, except Monica and Arthur, who remain handcuffed to a stereo. This act of bravery allows the group to regain some footing amid the bedlam.

During an airport security check, the suitcase bomb is accidentally activated, setting off a 45-minute countdown. Panic ensues as the FBI agents realize the flight could be compromised if the bomb is not secured.

Eliot surreptitiously infiltrates the criminals' plane, leading to a chaotic confrontation. Using a fire extinguisher as an unconventional weapon, he successfully overcomes the criminals just as the bomb is disposed of safely.

Having thwarted the disaster, Eliot is celebrated by the FBI with promises of rewards. What transpired that day, however, is classified, leaving the public oblivious to the absurdity of the events.

In the closing scenes, Eliot earns respect from Matt, and he marries Anne. Meanwhile, other characters navigate their odd new realities, with Walter reinventing himself and Arthur remaining stuck in his own misadventures.
