Titli Mishra and Ranjan Tiwari are lovers in Varanasi who dream of marrying, but Titli’s father, Brijmohan Mishra, makes the union hinge on Ranjan landing a government job. To win the post, Ranjan vows to do a good deed, yet in a desperate bid he ends up bribing a man named Bhagwan Das to secure the job. The stage is set for a drama that blends romance, duty, and a troubling moral challenge.

The wedding schedule tightens around the haldi ceremony, with the actual vows looming the next day. After the haldi day, Ranjan wakes up to find he is reliving the same day again, trapped in a time loop. He quickly learns that the loop is tethered to his unfulfilled vow, and the only way out is to perform a truly good deed. He tries every conceivable act of kindness, but nothing frees him from the cycle, and the pressure of the impending wedding only grows.

Desperation pushes him toward the brink of suicide, but at the last moment he meets a man named Hamid Ansari, who is also planning to end his life because he is unemployed. Ranjan discovers that Ansari is the very candidate whose government job was wrongfully granted to Ranjan after the bribe to Bhagwan Das, which is why he is stuck in the loop. The only path to break it is to return Ansari’s job, a move that would jeopardize his relationship with Titli and derail the wedding.

For days, the loop continues as Ranjan saves Ansari from suicide each time, but Ansari rejects other job options, insisting on the government post because he believes it can curb corruption and help his village—providing water and electricity to those in need. When the day resets again, Ansari’s life remains intact, giving Ranjan one last chance to set things right. On the next dawn, Ansari is alive and presents the opportunity to rectify the mistake, and Ranjan finally returns the job to Ansari.

The loop breaks, and the town prepares for the wedding, though Ranjan chooses to reveal that he has given up his job, facing sharp criticism from everyone, including Titli. Then Bhagwan Das arrives and delivers an eye-opening speech on humanity that reinforces the moral choice Ranjan has made. Titli accepts the decision, and the couple ultimately marries, having learned that integrity and selflessness matter more than any single title or position.
