A Visitor to a Museum

In a post-apocalyptic landscape, humanity endures centuries of ecological collapse and indifference toward the planet. A separate caste of degenerates clings to a fragile spirituality, still seeking meaning amidst despair.

The main character arrives at the sea, which periodically overflows and then dries up. He notices the cycle as a sign of something beneath the surface. The possibility of the sunken city resurfacing haunts his thoughts.

He resolves to witness the ancient sunken city when the sea parts again. He gathers courage to venture toward the shore and seeks guidance from locals on when the city might surface.

The locals, especially innkeepers, have buried spirituality under entertainment and feasts. They try to deter him from the quest, inviting him to stay, music, television, and dance instead.

The housewife, initially dismissive of religion and the Visitor, seduces him and they share a physical encounter. This moment shows how desire and distraction might derail his mission.

The innkeepers' maid, a member of the degenerates, believes the Visitor is a savior sent by God and begs him not to abandon his quest. Her faith contrasts with the cynicism around her.

The degenerates hold a nightly service in which the crowd begs God to remove them from the world and to take them to heaven. The Visitor joins, and the service becomes a turning point that awakens a spiritual epiphany within him.

News and rumors spread that the Visitor is a mutant in disguise, and the ordinary people fear him as a threat. They begin to shield themselves from his influence and discourage his quest to the sea and the city.

When the sea finally parts, the hero moves toward the sunken city with sobs, praying to God to atone for mankind's sins. The moment marks the fulfillment of his pilgrimage and a climactic confrontation with guilt.

In the finale, the housewife experiences an epiphany under the Visitor's influence, recognizing the need for belief and change. Her change contrasts with the Visitor's unraveling frenzy.

The Visitor succumbs to a religious frenzy, thrashing and screaming for God. The once-guiding figure loses control, overwhelmed by the fervor he catalyzed in others.

The finale leaves the world haunted by faith, guilt, and salvation amid catastrophe. The fates of the Housewife and the Visitor are left unsettled, underscoring the film's spiritual tensions.
