Riichi, Yuji, Kotetsu, and Ryoko graduate from high school in Kishiwada. For one last prank, Ryoko lures a teacher behind a building with the offer of intercourse, and Riichi and Yuji topple a potted plant onto his head while Ryoko photographs the moment.

He is attacked at an arcade and allows himself to be beaten and stuffed into a batting cage with baseballs fired at him. Back in Kishiwada, Ryoko and Nahomi console Masae. Masae's only memento of Yuji is a protractor he found on the ground and used to find a perfect 67-degree angle. Tomoda, the protractor's original owner, asks for it back, but Masae offers to buy him hundreds more and Tomoda lets her keep it because the protractor is happier with Masae.

Riichi's confession and rooftop moment

Riichi reveals that he did not burn the photo of Ryoko's teacher with dirt and a flower. After they part ways, Riichi tries to race back to Ryoko but she has already climbed to the roof of her building. A group of children below lose hold of a red balloon, and Ryoko leans over the railing, unable to grab it.
