Yaksha: Ruthless Operations

Following a failed attempt to prosecute Lee Chan-young, Han Ji-hoon is demoted from his position at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. This demotion sends him to the legal support office, drastically changing the direction of his career.

Ji-hoon is reluctantly assigned by Director Yeom to inspect the highly classified NIS Shenyang branch, known for its involvement with North Korean counter-intelligence. Taking on the assignment that his superior refused emphasizes Ji-hoon's determination to prove himself.

Upon arrival at the Shenyang branch, Ji-hoon meets Ji Kang-in, the leader of the Black Team disguised as the Samjin Travel Agency. Their initial confrontation leads to Ji-hoon inadvertently upsetting Kang-in by intervening in an operation.

In an attempt to test Ji-hoon’s improvisation skills, Kang-in frames him for prostitution and drug use. The challenge pushes Ji-hoon to flee by climbing out a hotel window, ultimately passing the test and gaining Kang-in’s acceptance.

Kang-in briefs Ji-hoon on their critical mission: to extract Moon Byung-uk, a prominent figure in North Korea’s Room 39. Moon possesses vital information, and his defection to South Korea is seen as urgent for national security.

The Black Team's attempt to extract Moon Byung-uk fails spectacularly as they face several pursuing parties. During the chaos, they manage to secure Moon’s daughter, Ju-yeon, although the mission does not go as planned.

As the situation escalates, the team realizes that they may have to resort to torturing Ju-yeon for information on her father. In a moment of compassion, Ji-hoon allows her to escape, complicating their mission further.

The Black Team discovers they have been set up by Yoshinobu Ozawa, who orchestrates the murder of Moon and the kidnapping of Ju-yeon. The betrayal shocks Ji-hoon and the team, heightening the stakes of their mission.

Under immense pressure from Chinese authorities, the Black Team takes drastic action by destroying their travel agency front. This act signifies their commitment to remaining in Shenyang and continuing the fight to rescue Ju-yeon.

Determined not to abandon the mission, the team devises a plan to extract Ju-yeon from the Japanese consulate. Their resilience underscores their determination to complete their objective despite the growing dangers.

After a tense escape, Ju-yeon reveals crucial information about her father's secrets and where the hidden data is stored. This information becomes vital for Ji-hoon and the team as they strategize their next moves.

Facing off against Ozawa, who threatens Ji-hoon's family, Ji-hoon collaborates with the Black Team to feign Kang-in's death. This deception is part of a larger scheme to protect Ju-yeon and secure the hidden information.

Through clever tactics, Ji-hoon manages to get Ozawa to delete the list containing the double agents, triggering a chain reaction that exposes all of Ozawa’s operatives. This bold move leads to Ozawa's demise and serves justice.

As a result of the revelations brought forth by Ji-hoon and his team’s actions, Director Yeom is arrested. This turn of events marks a significant victory in Ji-hoon's career, as he finally takes down a high-profile figure involved in corruption.

In a surprising twist, Kang-in reaches out to Ji-hoon in the epilogue to discuss a mysterious upcoming mission. The Black Team members, now settled around the globe, are called to reconvene in London for a new dangerous endeavor.
