Gone were the noble ideals that once underpinned the tournament; in their place stood a new adversary in the form of Victor Donovan, a treacherous promoter who reveled in conflict and harbored deep-seated envy for those who exhibited strength. Simultaneously, Hayate, her brother who was previously injured by the villainous Raidou, falls victim to the same grim fate, becoming an unwilling test subject for DOATEC's bio-weapon project, Epsilon.
