White Fang 2: Myth of the White Wolf

Jack Conroy leaves White Fang with Henry Casey as they sail toward San Francisco to bring gold into town. A storm wrecks their vessel, washing them up onshore and forcing them to improvise for survival. In the crucible of danger, Henry and Jack form a bond while White Fang waits loyally nearby.

Moses Joseph dreams that White Fang leads his starving tribe, with Lily at his side. He declares that Lily will guide them to find the wolf who can save the people. The vision foreshadows Lily’s crucial role in the coming journey.

Guided by the river, Lily sails toward the valley and hears White Fang barking in the distance. She sees White Fang disappear, and Henry unexpectedly appears, leading Lily to believe the wolf has transformed into him. Lily rescues Henry and brings him back to her home, sparking a bond between Lily, Henry, and White Fang.

Henry returns to town and discovers the community is starving. Reverend Leland Drury explains the town’s dire state, underscoring the hardship they face. The scene sets the stakes for Henry’s later decisions.

That night, while with the tribe, Henry gives Lily a white shawl as a sign of friendship and trust. The gift strengthens their growing bond amid the hardship around them. Lily accepts the shawl as a symbol of what lies between them.

That night, Henry hears White Fang howling and is drawn to a reunion with his companion. He experiences a dream similar to Moses’s, this time featuring himself within the vision. The moment reinforces the connection between Henry and White Fang.

Moses gives Henry a bow and arrows and sends him into the forest to practice hunting. Peter, Moses’s son, joins Henry in training while Lily asks to participate, but Moses forbids women from hunting. The training sequence lays the groundwork for the forthcoming hunt.

Henry, White Fang, and Peter venture into the forest to begin the hunt. Lily secretly slips in to join them, defying Moses’s rule. The group faces the challenges of wilderness and tests their skills.

During the trek, Henry is nearly injured by a trap and Peter is shot at. Peter tasks Henry with finding the caribou and distracting a gunman on horseback to give them a chance to slip away. The danger escalates as the hunt continues.

Henry’s leg gets caught in a snare, and Lily frees him from the trap. They reach the hunting grounds only to find the path blocked by a manmade wall. The obstruction signals that someone is exploiting the land for profit.

They fall through into an airshaft that leads to a hidden gold mine. They discover Reverend Drury is behind the blockade, running an illegal mining operation. They decide to steal dynamite to clear the way for the caribou.

Henry spots Reverend Drury and confronts him when he threatens a miner. Drury offers Henry a cut of the mine’s profits if he walks away; Henry refuses and shoots the Reverend in the arm. Lily escapes with Henry while White Fang defends them against the remaining miners.

Henry escapes the mine, and White Fang defends him from the remaining miners while Henry plants dynamite. The blast clears the blocked path and frees the caribou’s route. The daring rescue showcases the trio’s resilience against exploitation.

Reverend Drury loads gold and Lily onto a wagon and makes a break for it. Henry and White Fang race through the forest to save Lily, leaping onto the wagon and pulling Lily free. White Fang lunges at Drury, sending them tumbling down the cliff as a stampede seals his fate. Three months later, Henry and Lily return to the den with White Fang’s growing family.
