Draenor, the orc's home world, faces devastation at the hands of a mysterious force known as Fel magic. This dark power compels the orc clans to seek out a new course of action to survive the destruction.

Under the leadership of the formidable warlock Gul'Dan, the orc clans unite to form the Horde. They harness Fel magic, which leads them to open a portal to the world of Azeroth.

The orcs begin to raid settlements on Azeroth to capture Draenei as sacrifices for Gul'Dan's dark rituals. This marks the first signs of conflict between the orc invaders and the inhabitants of Azeroth.

Durotan, chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan, exhibits initial reluctance about the mission, but ultimately joins Gul'Dan's war party along with his pregnant mate, Draka, and ally Orgrim Doomhammer. Their loyalty is tested as they step into the chaotic war efforts.

Upon arriving in Azeroth, Draka goes into labor, and Gul'Dan intervenes to assist in the childbirth. Despite their efforts, the child is stillborn, prompting Gul'Dan to siphon life from a deer to infuse it into the baby, later named Go'El by Durotan.

Anduin Lothar, the military commander from the Stormwind Kingdom, investigates the aftermath of the orc raids. He crosses paths with Mage Khadgar, who provides insights into the origins of Fel magic in the recent violence.

Khadgar persuades King Llane Wrynn to consult Medivh, the Guardian of Tirisfal, regarding the sinister Fel magic. They embark on a journey to Karazhan to seek answers and uncover the threat looming over their world.

While scouting the origins of the Fel magic, Medivh, Khadgar, and Anduin are ambushed by orc warriors. Medivh uses powerful spells to fend off their attackers, but the encounter highlights the ever-growing danger posed by the Horde.

King Llane decides to free Garona, a half-orc slave, who agrees to ally with the humans against the Horde. She becomes instrumental in revealing Gul'Dan's plans to transport the entire Horde to Azeroth.

Despite opposition from his ally Orgrim, Durotan seeks a secret meeting with King Llane to forge an alliance between the Frostwolf Clan and the humans. This act of desperation reflects the rising tensions and imminent threat of Gul'Dan’s ambitions.

Khadgar's investigations lead him to uncover the truth behind Medivh's corruption and the involvement of dark forces. His relentless pursuit of answers sparks suspicion towards those he once trusted.

Just as Durotan attempts to unite the orcs and humans, an ambush led by Blackhand disrupts the meeting. Chaos erupts, leading to tragic losses and highlighting the ever-escalating conflict.

Llane leads a human assault against the orc war camp, culminating in a fierce battle. In a desperate measure, Llane commands Garona to kill him to gain honor, hoping to open a path for peace through bitter sacrifice.

With Medivh's death, the portal collapses, but Llane's sacrifice and Garona's reluctant compliance set a somber tone for what is to come. Tensions simmer as both sides face a pivotal moment in their fates.

Llane's funeral in Stormwind unites humans, elves, and dwarves against the orc threat. The infant Go'El, sent down the river as a last desperate act, becomes a symbol of hope and the future amidst the chaos of war.
