Thommy, a migrant laborer from Wayanad, arrives in Pattellar town in South Karnataka to seek survival. He quickly becomes entangled with Pattellar, the town's abusive landlord. The encounter sets the stage for a brutal power dynamic that shapes the rest of the story.

Pattellar, a psychopath who delights in sexual domination, begins abusing Thommy almost immediately after his arrival. The abuse is relentless and sets a climate of fear for Thommy and Omana. This establishes the landlord brutality as a central threat.

After learning from Thommy about his wife Omana, Pattellar rapes Omana that night. The assault shows Pattellar total disregard for others. Thommy's presence triggers a violent act that will fuel later revenge and resistance.

Pattellar offers Thommy a job and gifts him things, signaling an attempt to buy loyalty. Thommy, under pressure from hardship, becomes an obedient servant to Pattellar. This marks the shift from victim to subordinate in the power dynamic.

Yusuf, Kuttaparai, and several prominent townspeople decide to kill Pattellar and enlist Thommy to help. The plan brings together unlikely allies against the tyrant. Thommy is drawn further into the plot.

Thommy brings Pattellar to his house as planned, but Pattellar escapes. He then murders his wife and makes it look like suicide. Thommy weeps at his masters death and faces the consequences of his complicity.

The truth about Pattellar death is uncovered by the brothers in law; they retaliate and Pattellar flees with Thommy into the jungle. Pattellar is killed by his brothers in law, and Thommy, bruised and battered, escapes. In the end, he exults in freedom after years of oppression.
