Raja Rajinikanth, an expert thief, is secretly in love with Radha Madhavi, a disco club dancer and singer who remains unaware of his criminal life. The story follows two dangerous currents: a wicked brother-sister duo, Vikram Vijayakumar and Bhairavi, who want revenge on crime boss Sudharshan for past betrayals, and the fragile romance between Radha and Raja. The duo hatches a plan to break into Sudarshan’s treasury with Raja, hoping the risky job will tilt the odds in their favor. But the plan collides with the sharp instincts of Inspector Rajasingam Sivaji Ganesan, a jovial yet shrewd officer who catches Raja and sentences him to two years in prison, leaving Radha shocked and desolate at the turn of events.

In parallel, Amar Vishnuvardhan stands as a top crime figure within Sudarshan’s gang, a widower with a daughter in boarding school who harbors steelier ambitions than his current loyalty suggests. Before choosing to quit the gang, Amar is implicated in a masked crime that draws the attention of Inspector Rajasingam. Fate brings Radha into close contact with Amar when he rescues her from a gang of rowdy bikers, and she grows fond of Amar’s daughter. Amar himself begins to fall for Radha, but she does not return the feeling, still loyal to Raja. Yet Amar recognizes that Radha’s heart hasn’t shifted, and he refrains from pursuing a relationship that would complicate everyone’s loyalties.

When Raja finishes his jail term and returns to the streets, a chance encounter with Vikram rekindles the old deal, and the tension between old loyalties resurfaces. Amid this fragile calm, Amar and Raja’s paths cross again—this time through Radha’s circle—though both Radha and Amar pretend not to know each other to avoid sparking suspicion about Raja. The fragile balance is shattered when Vikram’s goons kidnap Amar’s daughter and batter him nearly beyond recognition, landing him in a hospital bed. To secure his daughter’s safety, Amar agrees to let Raja take on Vikram’s job, and the two men form a wary but growing bond as comrades who share a common threat.

As Raja nurses Amar back to health, their alliance deepens, and Amar promises to stand by Raja in what they both call one last big robbery. The plan is audacious: steal gold bars and jewelry from a secure safe, trigger a police response, and let Raja take the fall with a prison term of about 12 to 18 months. The aim is to yield enough money to relocate to the USA after Raja’s release. Yet the caper quickly spirals out of control. Raja ends up being arrested for the murder of Sudharshan, while Amar and Radha make it to the United States with the loot. A painful suspicion takes root in Raja’s heart: did Amar deliberately set him up to clear the path for a safe escape and to keep Radha for himself?

This dramatic twist pushes Raja to escape from custody and chase down Amar all the way to London, where a tense confrontation unfolds as he seeks the truth. As the dust settles, Raja discovers that Amar did not frame him, and the two men reconcile their misgivings—yet their reunion is short-lived. Vikram and his cohorts arrive in the USA with vengeance on their minds, intent on finishing what they started. In the final, heart-stopping showdown, Amar sacrifices himself to save Raja from a lethal strike, sealing a bittersweet ending where loyalty, love, and sacrifice converge against a backdrop of crime, betrayal, and redemption.
