Abhiram spots Nandini in a windy mall and accidentally falls into a manhole. Nandini rescues him, but in the scramble she loses her heart-shaped watch. This event marks the fragile start of their intertwined fate.

On the way to Araku, Jaanu, who has been following Nandini, beats up Abhi, mistaking him for dating her. Abhi responds by thrashing Jaanu and his gang, escalating the feud. The clash establishes a personal rival who will shadow their relationship.

In Araku, Abhi declares his love for Nandini and offers to tie the watch as a symbol of marriage. Nandini, already engaged, rejects the proposal, leaving Abhi hopeful yet conflicted. He vows to marry her if they meet again.

Uma takes Abhi to Bharathi’s house and learns that Col. Choudary, who is deaf, is Nandini’s father. Choudary reveals that Nandini’s marriage is scheduled within a week to Gautam. Devastated, Abhi discards Nandini’s watch in despair.

Nandini calls Abhi to meet her, spurring him to search for the missing watch. During the hunt, he finds a rabbit and names it Devadas, bringing the rabbit along. Eventually he locates the heart-shaped watch, rekindling his quest.

With Nandini’s Mumbai-bound friends set to arrive, the train is delayed for hours. They visit a nearby temple to pass the time and share a rain-soaked return, finding shelter with an elderly couple. Abhi drinks toddy in the rain, and when Nandini offers an umbrella, he admits he should stay away to avoid missteps.

Now in love, Nandini asks Abhi to take her to the top of a waterfall, where she openly confesses her feelings. Abhi remains focused on marrying her and seeks a path to win her, despite the external pressure.

Abhi takes Choudary for a morning jog to discuss marriage, only to hear the elder man’s heart condition and his wish to see Nandini married off to Gautam. The revelation intensifies the family pressure bearing down on Abhi. He leaves with a renewed, albeit troubling, resolve.

Nandini asks Abhi if he told her father about their story; Abhi admits he doubted her love. Hurt, she slaps him and walks away in tears, deepening the rift between them.

On the night before the wedding, Abhi drinks at a bar where Gautam asks for directions to Choudary’s home. Jaanu attempts to kill Gautam, but Abhi intervenes, saving him. This event convinces Abhi that Gautam might be the right groom for Nandini.

The next day, Abhi drops Gautam at the wedding venue but refuses to attend. Gautam asks for the heart-shaped watch as a memento, but Abhi declines. He wishes Gautam a happy married life as he drives away.

As Abhi drives toward the waterfall to reunite with Nandini, Devadas dies near his car. Devastated, Abhi buries the rabbit’s body near the edge of the waterfall, bringing the story to a melancholic close.
