A skilled thief named Tom Chitling embarks on a dangerous mission to steal an envelope from a safe but soon finds himself in dire circumstances when he is pushed off a building by a mysterious figure. Left for dead, the envelope goes missing, and Tom’s fate hangs in the balance.

Years earlier, a young boy named Oliver, portrayed by the talented Samuel Leakey, lived a carefree life with his mother Sally Collett, who shared his passion for painting. Tragically, after her untimely death from unknown causes, Oliver, now alone and terrified, decides to escape the only life he knows. He teaches himself to free run, earning the street name “Twist.”

One fateful day, while expressing his artistic side through graffiti on a traffic warden’s van, Oliver finds himself on the run from the police. During this chase, he crosses paths with the infamous Dodge, played by Rita Ora, and Batesey, also known as the Artful Dodger. Together, they seek refuge in their hideout near the Truman Brewery, where he meets the enigmatic Fagin, their guardian.

The next morning, Twist puts his artistic talents to use by creating a massive graffiti mural on a nearby building. Fagin sends Red, portrayed by Lena Headey, to entice Twist to dinner, unwittingly capturing his heart. In a twist of fate, Fagin confides in Sikes, revealing that she was responsible for the demise of Chitling.

With grand aspirations, Fagin orchestrates a plot to rob art dealer Dr. Crispin Losberne, who has wronged him in the past. They cleverly steal Losberne’s phone, allowing Batesey to create a copy, all while Red infiltrates Losberne’s world under the guise of an intern. Fagin obtains crucial blueprints of Losberne’s gallery, positioning his crew for the heist.

In a daring move, Red sabotages Losberne’s plans by planting a small bomb in his bathroom, resulting in a chaotic flood. Amidst the turmoil, Twist discovers that Red and Sikes are romantically involved, leaving him distraught. The narrative intensifies when Sikes’ henchmen attack Twist and his friends at a pub, leading to a passionate moment between Twist and Red as they escape to a pool. Unfortunately, Twist is apprehended by the earlier mentioned traffic warden, leading to an intense interrogation regarding Tom Chitling.

Once released, Twist returns to the crew, only to discover Batesey’s plan to disguise himself for the heist. Due to Batesey’s claustrophobia, Twist heroically takes his place. The plot thickens as Losberne becomes aware of the impending heist, causing a surge of tension when Twist unexpectedly falls from a van. Sikes, revealed to be a ruthless antagonist, seemingly murders Batesey before confessing to Twist that she was the one who killed Chitling.

As Fagin concocts a scheme to infiltrate the auction building, the tension escalates. Disguised, the crew sneaks in, and Fagin sets a trap that leads to chaos and panic. In the confusion, Twist seizes the opportunity to snag the prized painting and escapes with Dodge. As twists surface, Batesey, surprisingly alive, learns of Sikes’ treachery, leading him to join forces with Twist.

The story reaches a gripping climax as Sikes pursues Twist and Red to a rooftop, where a confrontation unfolds, resulting in Sikes falling victim to her own wrath when she is shot by Fagin. In the aftermath, Twist visits Bedwin and Brownlow at a café, leaving them an envelope containing vital information about the painting’s true ownership, alongside a key that leads them to a locker filled with stolen artwork owned by Losberne, who is ultimately apprehended.

As revelations unravel, Fagin’s previous identity as Issac Solomon comes to light, leaving Twist with the reins of the newfound operation. The narrative concludes on a hopeful note, with Twist suggesting a shift from thievery to selling their art, while his relationship with Red blossoms as they embark on a new chapter together.
