Twist (2021) Spoiler-Free Summary – What It's About

In a restless metropolis where color and concrete clash, a young graffiti virtuoso known as Twist navigates a world pulsing with rhythm and rebellion. Orphaned and haunted by the memory of his mother’s love for painting, he has turned the city’s walls into his canvas, each stroke a secret language spoken between alleys and neon. The streets are alive with a restless energy, a mix of music, spray paint, and whispered promises that beckon him toward something larger than the fleeting admiration of passing commuters.

Against this backdrop, Red emerges as an enigmatic presence whose charisma pulls at the edges of Twist’s carefully guarded solitude. Her allure is as magnetic as the murals he creates, hinting at a deeper connection to the undercurrent that fuels the urban art scene. Alongside her, the seasoned mentor Fagin offers a paternal blend of guidance and gritty wisdom, shaping Twist’s understanding of where creativity can lead when it brushes against the darker corners of the city. Their intertwined relationships form a delicate balance between inspiration and temptation.

The tone of the film swirls between vibrant street‑level artistry and the shadowed pathways of the city’s hidden economy, casting every corner with a palette of doubt and possibility. Twist finds himself standing at a crossroads, torn between the pure joy of his craft and the seductive pull of an underground that promises both danger and belonging. As the urban landscape stretches before him, the story invites viewers to wonder how far an artist will go when the line between expression and survival begins to blur.
