Three Little Pirates

In 1672, the Stooges—Moe, Larry, and Curly—are mariners aboard a refuse barge that ends up marooned on the desolate Dead Man's Island. Their arrival immediately draws the governor's attention, who is skeptical of their claims until their unmistakable sailor-like behavior confirms their profession.

The governor remains wary of the trio at first, but their sea-born manner convinces him they are real mariners. His skepticism begins to fade as he acknowledges their occupation, though tensions simmer as their arrival disrupts the island's order.

The Stooges are condemned to a grim fate of beheading or immolation, with the governor's anger seemingly sealing their doom. The threat casts a dark shadow over their prospects as they await their fate.

Rita, distressed by her fiancé's tyrannical rule, secretly helps by revealing concealed tools and guiding the Stooges through an underground passage toward safety. Her intervention gives them a fragile chance to escape, even as the plan hangs by a thread.

Despite Rita's aid, the Stooges' constant bickering causes them to go astray, leading to their recapture and return to captivity. The escape plan collapses under their squabbles.

Rita proposes a bold ruse in which the Stooges masquerade as exotic dignitaries bearing lavish gifts to fool the governor. Curly plays the Maharaja of Canarsie, Moe becomes Gin of Rummy, and Larry acts as his accomplice.

The trio's nonsensical banter and absurd offerings—such as a raspberry lollipop mistaken for a gemstone and a fountain pen mistaken for a walrus tusk—convince the governor to believe their pretenses and allow their escape.

The flight leads them into the clutches of the pirate Black Louie, and they must endure a perilous knife-throwing contest in a bid to survive his schemes.

Rita discreetly alerts the Stooges to the governor's vendetta, prompting a hurried departure from Black Louie's lair and a renewed bid for safety.

Curly's ineptitude, amplified by his thick-lensed glasses, disrupts their escape, triggering a confrontation with Black Louie's crew.

The Stooges emerge triumphant over Black Louie's pirates, briefly savoring dreams of sovereignty before the limits of their luck remind them of their place.

Moe suffers an ignoble defeat at the hands of a whimsical contraption, deflating the trio's ambitions and forcing their departure from the island as humbled survivors.
