The whole story of Three Little Twirps (1943) explained, from the opening scene to the final frame: every key event, every twist and what it all adds up to. Read it as a quick recap before the sequel, to check a scene you missed, or to finally understand what really happened.

Employed as poster hangers, the Stooges—Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard—sabotage a circus advertisement they were supposed to affix to a billboard, which leads their boss, Herman Stanley Blystone, to dismiss them. Realizing their only compensation is tickets to the circus, the trio plans to profit by selling them at a discount. Their illicit ticket scalping draws the attention of authorities, and a chase ensues.

As they dodge capture, Curly Curly Howard accidentally damages Effie the Bearded Lady Anita Sharp-Bolster, adding to the trouble. To stay ahead, Curly and Larry disguise themselves as a horse, a classic gag for Curly, while Moe tries to keep pace with the escalating situation. They confront Herman again, who is revealed as the circus owner, along with the local sheriff Bud Jamison.

Herman offers an unusual deal: the Stooges will serve as human targets for the spear-throwing act performed by the “Sultan of Abudaba.” In a bold escape, the Stooges leap into a crater created earlier by Curly’s high-wire mishap, narrowly avoiding a perilous fate and leaving their pursuers behind.
