The curtain rises in Silver Lake, California, introducing us to Solene Marchand, portrayed by Anne Hathaway, a discerning art gallery owner and a devoted single mother to her daughter, Izzy. As Solene’s 40th birthday approaches, she grapples with a sense of disconnection, driven by an upcoming camping trip meant to mark this significant milestone. The narrative deepens as she drives Izzy and her friends Georgia and Zeke to visit her ex-husband Daniel, now married to Eva.
