Bob Crane [Tom Schanley] heads into a frost-bitten mystery that pulls him from his quiet life as a forest ranger at Yellowstone into the neon glare of Milan’s fashion world. He and his twin sister, Jessica Crane [Nicola Perring], have always claimed a unique, almost psychic bond since childhood, a link that becomes terrifyingly real when he suddenly dreams of her murder after receiving a magazine she shot for, which includes her contact details. What begins as a desperate instinct to find his sister spirals into a full-blown investigation when he arrives in Milan and discovers Jessica has vanished. With a mix of resolve and vulnerability, Bob pleads his case to the city’s weary police force, led by Commissioner Danesi [Donald Pleasence], a veteran nearing retirement who is initially skeptical of Bob’s claims but slowly lets his suspicions steer them toward answers.

As Bob delves deeper, he starts to pry into the circle that once surrounded Jessica. He interrogates Barbara [Renée Simonsen], a prominent model from the same agency who projects a cool confidence but hints at a more complicated pull toward Bob herself. The fashion world around Jessica is glamorous on the surface yet perilously empty behind the scenes, and Bob learns that the stakes are much higher than a single disappearance. Soon, a chilling pattern emerges: several of Jessica’s former colleagues who knew her intimately are found murdered, each victim struck with a pair of scissors—the same weapon Bob had foreseen in his prophetic vision. The killings aren’t random; they form a cold, calculating thread that points toward a dangerous game being played beneath Milan’s couture truth.

Diamonds surface as a clue in the ensuing web of guilt. One victim is discovered with a hidden stash of jewels, which leads everyone’s suspicions toward Giorgio Zanoni [Paolo Tomei], a wealthy fashion designer who is known for throwing private gatherings where models mingle with power and money. When the police bring Giorgio in for questioning, he paints a picture of a night filled with high-stakes indulgence and fear: Jessica and the other women allegedly attended a private party where a game of Russian roulette went tragically wrong, killing another model. Giorgio asserts that he disposed of the body and used diamonds as payment to keep others quiet, effectively turning silence into a commodity in the glamorous but treacherous dance of wealth and desire.

Giorgio’s arrest seems to clear Jessica only to complicate the picture further. The police settle on Jessica as the prime suspect in the other model murders, a move that unsettles Bob, who has not abandoned his belief that Jessica is alive and in danger. A telegram purportedly from Jessica reaches Bob, asking him to return home, a clue that could either be a plea from Jessica or a trap. He hunts it down to Lugano, at a local post office, where the handwriting of the note appears suspiciously forged. The trail grows murkier when an Interpol agent, working in concert with Danesi, starts tailing Bob, raising the stakes and the clock on finding the truth.

Bob returns to Milan, determined to unearth the truth, and checks out of his hotel to pursue a lead at a large studio apartment. He climbs in through a window after the door is found locked, injuring his arm in the process. There, the truth lands with brutal clarity: the handwriting is forged, and Jessica herself is found dead, her body pinned to a chair. The rope of deception tightens to almost suffocating levels as Bob makes a frantic call to warn Danesi, only to be interrupted by the sudden arrival of Barbara in the apartment. Barbara’s past with Jessica reveals the motive behind the murders—she had sought a same-sex relationship with Jessica, was spurned, and descended into deadly actions. Barbara has killed the other models, used the diamonds to coerce complicity, and sent the bogus telegram to mislead Bob.

The confrontation escalates quickly. Barbara charges forward with brutal intent, wielding an electric drill aimed at Bob. In a tense, cat-and-mouse moment, Danesi and the pursuing Interpol agent intervene just in time to shut off the drill, interrupting the would-be killer. With no escape route left, Barbara makes a final, desperate move by pushing the chair holding Jessica’s body through the apartment window and leaping to her death, leaving behind a trail of questions, guilt, and a chilling reminder of how far some people will go to protect a lie.

In the end, the case reveals a tangled web where love, fear, and greed intersect against the shiny backdrop of fashion’s higher echelons. Bob’s unwavering belief in Jessica’s safety and truth drives the investigation forward, even as the path is paved with danger and deception.
