In 1991, Alabama is hit hard by Hurricane Andrew. Niles Rutledge, attempting to escape with his sons, finds himself in a desperate situation as the storm begins to unleash its fury.

As they flee, tension builds between brothers Will and Breeze. Will blames Breeze for their predicament caused by his innocent kite-flying, and their truck swerves to avoid a fallen tree.

Niles manages to steer the truck into a nearby vacant house to escape the storm. However, the intensity of Hurricane Andrew continues to escalate, leaving the family in a precarious situation.

The chaos of the storm culminates when a water tower crashes onto Niles, witnessed helplessly by his sons. This traumatic event leaves a lasting impact on the boys as they grapple with loss.

Amidst the turmoil, a skull forms in the clouds, ominously foreshadowing the darkness that looms over the family. This eerie sight marks the beginning of ongoing struggles for Will and Breeze.

Fast forward to the present, Tropical Storm Tammy is brewing in the Gulf of Mexico. Now a meteorologist, Will is dispatched to Alabama to prepare for the impending storm.

Will recognizes the locals' underestimation of the storm's potential. With drones ready for deployment, he understands the dire need to raise awareness about the impending danger.

Meanwhile, Treasury agents Casey and Connor find themselves stuck in traffic while returning to the Treasury building. Taking a bold decision, Casey leads their trucks off-road to avoid delays.

While navigating the field, Casey and Connor spot criminals tampering with a tower. The tension escalates as they realize these brothers pose a formidable threat amidst their pursuit.

Casey struggles with her responsibility to manage a pile of old currency scheduled for destruction. Haunted by a past incident, this obligation weighs heavily on her as chaos unfolds.

Casey's colleague recruits tech specialists to fix a critical malfunction, while she seeks out Breeze, who is dealing with his father’s death and his own demons. She hopes he can help in an emergency.

Chaos erupts when Clement and Xander assault the Treasury building, taking employees hostage. Connor is revealed to be an inside man, complicating the already dire situation.

In a moment of desperation, Casey is saved by Breeze during a tense confrontation with armed criminals. However, they find themselves trapped by security beams in a critical situation.

Will fortuitously arrives and rescues Casey, but the danger escalates as Sheriff Dixon is found to be involved with the criminals, prompting a hasty escape amid a worsening storm.
