Frontline battles, changing occupations of the hills, and winter-to-summer campaigns define the period. The armistice looms at the end, but real peace remains elusive until the ceasefire takes effect.

The Aerok Hills sit along the volatile 38th Parallel, forming a brutal frontline where control of the hill shifts with each skirmish. The terrain and constant shelling shape the soldiers’ daily routines and morale. A hidden cave with a gift-box exchange area becomes a strange, humanizing refuge amid the warfare.
