The Bride

The story begins with a grandfather reading a beloved book to his sick grandson. As the grandfather opens the book, the grandson expresses his skepticism and curiosity about the tale that follows.

Buttercup, the beautiful protagonist, is kidnapped on the eve of her wedding to Prince Humperdinck. She has long been in love with Westley, a farmhand, whom she believes is dead after being captured by the Dread Pirate Roberts.

A mysterious man in black pursues Buttercup's captors, leading to a thrilling chase up the Cliffs of Insanity. At the top, he encounters Vizzini and Inigo Montoya, setting the stage for their epic confrontations.

Inigo Montoya, a skilled swordsman, duels with the man in black at the cliffs. Despite Inigo's prowess, the man in black emerges victorious, sparing Inigo's life to continue his pursuit of Buttercup.

The man in black challenges Vizzini to a battle of wits involving deadly poisoned goblets. Using his knowledge of iocaine powder, he outsmarts Vizzini, who chooses the wrong goblet and dies.

After confronting the man in black, Buttercup discovers he is Westley, the love she thought was lost. Westley reveals that he survived by becoming the Dread Pirate Roberts and has returned for her.

Westley and Buttercup flee into the Fire Swamp, facing dangerous obstacles including Rodents of Unusual Size and lightning sand. Despite their harrowing experience, they manage to survive.

Unfortunately, their escape is short-lived as they are captured by Prince Humperdinck's men shortly after leaving the swamp. Buttercup and Westley are separated, leading to dire consequences.

Westley is taken to the Pit of Despair, where Count Rugen tortures him using a horrifying machine. Meanwhile, Buttercup unwittingly agrees to marry Humperdinck in exchange for Westley's freedom.

Inigo Montoya, seeking revenge for his father's murder by Count Rugen, vows to confront him. Harnessing years of swordsmanship training, he prepares for the ultimate showdown.

Inigo and Fezzik seek help from Miracle Max, who reluctantly agrees to revive Westley after some persuasion. With a miracle pill in hand, they head back to the castle to rescue Buttercup.

Westley is revived but immobilized, yet he devises a plan to infiltrate the castle before Buttercup's wedding. With the help of Inigo and Fezzik, they prepare to challenge Prince Humperdinck.

Inigo finally faces Count Rugen and delivers his famous line, seeking vengeance for his father's death. After a fierce duel, Inigo defeats Rugen, exacting his long-awaited revenge.

Just as Buttercup is about to end her life, Westley reappears, proclaiming his love. Their reunion is bittersweet as Buttercup reveals her reluctant marriage to Humperdinck, which is quickly dismissed.

With all their goals achieved, Inigo, Fezzik, Westley, and Buttercup escape together on white horses. The story concludes with the promise of adventure and love, leaving behind their past struggles.
