The Adventures of Pinocchio

In a forest in the late 18th century, Geppetto carves a heart into a pine tree to express his secret love for Leona. Years later, he discovers the tree's remains and carves Pinocchio from it. The heart's magic animates the marionette, who immediately begins to wander the village.

Pinocchio comes to life and wanders the village, curious about the world and prone to mischief. He meets Volpe and Felinet, two thieves who work for Lorenzini, a sinister puppet master. Lorenzini wants to own a living puppet and tests Geppetto's resolve by trying to buy Pinocchio.

Pinocchio sneaks into a local school and fights with Lampwick, lying about the incident which makes his nose grow. The growing nose leads to ridicule and expulsion from class. Later he damages a bakery, bringing trouble to Geppetto and landing him under arrest.

Pinocchio and Geppetto stand trial in court. Lorenzini arrives and offers to pay off Geppetto's debt if Pinocchio is handed over. Geppetto reluctantly agrees to relinquish his son to the theater master.

Pinocchio rises as the star of Lorenzini's productions and is paid with gold coins. He rescues several of Geppetto's puppets from being burnt, but his actions inadvertently set the theater on fire. He escapes into the forest to escape the chaos.

Pinocchio flees the burning theater and wanders into the forest, contemplating living in the old tree from which he was carved. A bold woodpecker attacks him near the trunk, warning him away from his origin. He then heads toward a nearby church seeking guidance and a better future.

Pepe the cricket chastises Pinocchio for his misbehavior, urging him to change. He spots a stagecoach carrying Lampwick and other boys traveling to Terra Magica, a hidden fun-fair that tempts boys with freedom. The lure of the fair promises escape, but hides a dark trap.

At Terra Magica, the water the boys drink turns them into donkeys. Pinocchio has only swallowed enough water to grow donkey ears, while Lampwick fully transforms. Lorenzini uses the fair to sell the transformed donkeys to circuses and farms.

The curse intensifies when Lampwick shoves Lorenzini into the cursed water, transforming him into a sea monster who bolts for the ocean. The other boys and their donkey forms escape the fair to safety. Pinocchio watches the spectacle, realizing the danger of Lorenzini's plans.

Pinocchio reunites with Leona on the beach and sets off to find his father Geppetto at sea. He travels with Pepe, hoping to free Geppetto from danger. The moment marks Pinocchio's shift toward responsibility and family.

Pinocchio and Pepe are swallowed by the sea monster but are later reunited with Geppetto inside the creature's stomach. They navigate the dark, foul interior, clinging to hope as they search for an exit. The trio's bond is tested by the monstrous predicament.

Pinocchio extends his nose to widen the monster's throat, enabling their escape. The extended nose breaks in the process, the monster chokes, spits them out, and sinks to the depths. The perilous escape foreshadows Pinocchio's real-life transformation.

Back on land, Pinocchio apologizes to Geppetto for not being a real boy yet. Geppetto declares him real, and tears from Pinocchio's eyes fall on the carved heart, catalyzing the final magic that makes him human. The two share a warm moment of reunion and newfound life.

Geppetto and Leona are now married, and Pinocchio goes off to play with Lampwick, who has become a real boy after many good deeds. The family begins a new chapter of life, with Pinocchio and Lampwick sharing a hopeful future.
