The 7 Adventures of Sinbad

Somalian pirates hijack Sinbad's flagship oil tanker, triggering a desperate rescue attempt. Sinbad races to avert disaster, but the tanker is dragged beneath the waves by a colossal squid. It sinks into a deep sea crater where an ancient, supernatural power awaits.

A storm hits during the hijacking, and Sinbad's helicopter is struck by lightning. It crashes into the sea, leaving him stranded while chaos erupts around him. He later awakens on a strange tropical island.

Sinbad comes to on a strange tropical island and is immediately attacked by a monstrous crab three times his size. He fights for his life and narrowly escapes the crushing pinchers. The encounter foreshadows the island's perilous dangers.

On the island, Sinbad teams with a ragged group of survivors: the helicopter pilot, his science officer, the tanker captain, and the pirate leader. The four are mortal enemies, adding tension to their fragile alliance. They start planning a path to survival and escape.

Loa, a jungle warrior, joins the group and shows cave paintings foretelling the end of mankind. She explains that Sinbad must complete seven ordeals to avert Elmec Ishu's wrath. The quest becomes personal as the fate of the world hangs on his actions.

A sudden earthquake hits, plunging the group into the sea as the island sinks its true form. They realize the island is the back of a giant whale, harking back to myth. Pterodactyls descend to snatch the survivors away to feed their young.

The travelers encounter a towering cyclops and must maneuver through its lair and threats. The encounter tests their resolve and cohesion as a group. The surreal danger marks another trial along their journey.

They meet seductive sirens who lure travelers to peril and threaten their fragile cohesion. Some are drawn away, others resist with effort and leadership. The danger of illusion deepens their resolve to press on.

They encounter a bloodthirsty cult led by Loa's insane father. The cult's rites and fanaticism test the group's ethics and courage. The confrontation heightens the danger on the island and for Loa's people.

Sinbad descends into a volcano to seek otherworldly crystals that may unlock escape. He is nearly killed by a towering lava demon, but Loa helps him persevere. They escape with the crystals, which release superheated gas when touched by water.

With the crystals in hand, Sinbad and Loa flee the island aboard an old hot air balloon. The crystals' heat powers their ascent and marks a turning point in their odds for survival. The world remains on the brink as the island fades behind them.

Sinbad returns to civilization and undertakes a suicide mission to raise the tanker and avert the apocalypse. He and Loa pilot a submarine four miles underwater toward the tanker. The mission sets the stage for a climactic clash with Elmec Ishu.

The tanker ruptures, spilling oil and triggering Elmec Ishu's wrath as vast waterspouts attack. The submarine is chased by a giant squid and captured, but Sinbad uses the sub's external nozzle to vacuum oil bubbles and coax the squid to release them. They drill into the seabed to reach the underwater crystals, flooding the chamber with seawater and triggering gas geysers that push the tanker to the surface. Elmec Ishu reappears and summons the squid to carry the sub to the surface, saving the world but leaving Sinbad and Loa near death.
