On February 6, 2004, amidst a forecast predicting heavy snowfall, Eric makes the ill-fated decision to head to the Sierra Mountains for a day of snowboarding. Ignoring warnings about an impending storm, he embarks on this adventure, only to find himself quickly locked out of his cabin after stepping outside for a moment.
