The 13 Cold-Blooded Eagles

On a cold day, Shinshu disciples raid a village and plunder its inhabitants. The 13 Cold-Blooded Eagles arrive and slaughter the attackers with swift mastery. After the assault, the Eagles return to the Flying Eagle Fort to report to their foster father Yue Xihong.

Yue Xihong commands the Eagles to kill Monster, the Shinshu leader, and seize his Seven Stars Reserpine Technique manual. He tests the loyalty of his men by sending them on a dangerous, high-stakes mission. The plan sets in motion a deadly contest across the jianghu.

The Eagles ride up to Hua Mountain and corner Monster at the edge of a cliff. Monster grabs Qi Yingming and they both plummet from the precipice. Monster dies in the fall while Qi is gravely injured and later rescued by Quihua.

Qi Yingming is taken to Quihua's estate where she nurses him back to health. His true identity remains hidden from Yue and the others during his recovery. After he heals, Qi returns to the Flying Eagle Fort, keeping Quihua's role secret.

Yue learns that the Seven Stars Reserpine Technique manual is in the possession of the sickly Ao Tianheng and issues a new assassination order. Qin suspects Ao is innocent but must obey Yue's command. The conflict grows as two rival loyalties pull at the jianghu.

In Ao Tianheng's hut, three eagles burst in through a window while the sick master meditates. Quihua draws her sword to defend her father and clashes with the intruders. Red Eagle, White Eagle, Gold Eagle, and Black Eagle arrive to assist the assault.

A Taoist priest arrives to aid Quihua and strikes Red Eagle into a hole in the ground. Inside the hole, Red Eagle finds his father, who was struck down by Yue twenty years earlier. The father passes on his inner qigong before dying, fueling Red Eagle's resolve.

Red Eagle returns to the Flying Eagle Fort and publicly exposes Yue's evil deeds before the whole faction. Yue retaliates by blinding Red Eagle with a condor trained for this purpose. The act deepens Yue's ruthlessness but fuels dissent among the ranks.

Yue orders Qi to travel to Sunflower Island to kill its leader and seize the manual. Qi is torn by doubts about Ao Tianheng's guilt but is bound by Yue's authority and obligation. The mission begins under a cloud of hesitation.

On Sunflower Island, Qi realizes that its leader is Quihua, the same woman who sheltered him earlier. He hesitates to kill her, recognizing she is not Yue's foe. His fellow eagles push him to proceed, creating tension.

Qi and Quihua eventually join forces to kill all the eagles on Sunflower Island and escape together with the manual. They are pursued by Yue, forcing a desperate escape from the island. The alliance marks a turning point in their fates.

To thwart Yue's pursuit, Quihua throws the Seven Stars Reserpine Technique manual into a rapid river and Yue dives in after it. The chase continues, but the river buys them time. The act also severs Yue's direct link to the manual.

A few days later, Qi and Quihua return to the Flying Eagle Fort to confront Yue. The latter confrontation leaves Qi heavily wounded as the two clash in a fierce battle. Quihua expends all her inner strength to fight on.

Quihua uses her inner qigong to push a bouquet of lilies that pierces Yue, killing him. The assault ends Yue's tyrannical rule and changes the balance of power in the jianghu. Qi witnesses the fatal strike with a heavy heart.

Grieving the losses, Qi holds Quihua's corpse and slowly climbs a hill toward the sun. The film closes on a somber note as vengeance gives way to sorrow and quiet endurance. The cost of power and loyalty is laid bare.
