On Kim's 17th birthday, Bryan, her father, brings her a karaoke machine, hoping to support her dreams of becoming a singer. However, her stepfather Stuart outdoes him by gifting her a horse, sparking a friendly competition between the two fathers.

Bryan works as a private consultant protecting pop singer Sheerah during her concert. He successfully saves her from a knife-wielding attacker, completing the job for a pay of $2,500, which highlights his skills as a former CIA operative.

Grateful for his help, Sheerah offers to connect Kim with a vocal coach who can assess her singing talent. She provides Bryan with her manager's contact information, hoping to help Kim kickstart her singing career.

After a turbulent series of events, Bryan fights through the auction to save Kim and confronts the crime syndicate leader, Patrice Saint-Clair. In a bloody showdown, Bryan overcomes the henchmen and confronts Saint-Clair to rescue his daughter.
