Strike Commando

Sgt. Michael Ransom leads a tight-knit unit, the Strike Commandos, on a tense covert mission into a Vietnamese base to plant explosives that could cripple nearby defenses. From a nearby vantage, Col. Radek and Major Harriman monitor the operation as the clock ticks toward a planned detonation. A vigilant sentry spots the intruders and raises the alarm, forcing Radek to push the team to complete the timed blast even as they fall back. The explosion rips through the base, taking a soldier’s life, and [Sgt. Michael Ransom] is hurled into a river, separating him from his comrades and shrouding the mission in uncertainty.

He is found unconscious by a village boy who tends to his wounds and helps him recover. The village, once a church, has endured brutal Viet Cong raids, and Ransom quickly learns that a Soviet presence has crept into Vietnam. He makes a fateful decision to guide the civilians to safety, steering them through dense jungle toward an unknown refuge with a stubborn resolve. During this trek, the group encounters danger at every turn, yet they are aided by Le Due, a retired French soldier who understands the lay of the land and the local risks. Ransom also uses this chance to contact his home base, informing them that he is alive and where he might be picked up, while also signaling that the Strike Commandos are calling for justice and retaliation.

With the river crossing behind them, the group runs into heavy resistance from both a patrol boat and nearby Viet Cong forces. The clash is ferocious, and [Le Due]’s experience proves invaluable as they manage to destroy the boat and disrupt the VC attack, buying crucial time for the retreat. The journey grows harsher as they press deeper into hostile terrain, and Ransom’s vigilance remains unshaken. Along the way, a Soviet patch is found on a fallen enemy, a chilling clue that confirms the adversaries’ broader reach. The pursuit intensifies as the Soviets begin to close in, forcing Ransom to decide what must be done to protect the villagers and himself.

After a brutal pursuit, Ransom reaches a breaking point and orders a retreat by helicopter, though the decision is momentarily debated by the group. He later volunteers to return to the area with a plan to photograph the base, hoping to secure undeniable proof of Soviet involvement in Vietnam. The mission shifts from immediate survival to evidence gathering, a task that places him in grave danger but also fuels his determination.

Back in Vietnam, the search for Jakoda—the Soviet soldier linked to the local hostilities—leads Ransom through a brutal landscape of captivity and punishment. He discovers the village people have been slaughtered, and the trail of clues points toward Jakoda. Ransom, enraged by the carnage, fends off captors with a stolen machine gun and refuses to surrender, even as he endures months in a cell with a corpse and finds ways to outsmart his tormentors. He eventually maneuvers a devious ruse to convince them of surrender, then uses this moment to turn the tables. He hauls Olga, Jakoda’s girlfriend, as a hostage and wields her as bait in a desperate bid to break free, while his superiors race to retrieve him and bring in another helicopter.

A brutal showdown follows as Ransom and Jakoda collide in a confrontation that ends with Ransom plunging Jakoda into a cascading waterfall after a clash that tests every limit of his endurance. Ransom returns to base in a fit of rage and fires at Radek’s office, but Radek is nowhere to be found. After going AWOL, Radek resurfaces as an importer/exporter in Manila, a detail that fuels a personal vendetta for Ransom when he plants a strategic grenade at the front desk of Radek’s building. The resulting chaos allows Ransom to move through the corridors with ruthless efficiency, mowing down the guards and closing in on Radek himself, whom he defeats with a grenade.

The final confrontation pits Ransom against Jakoda once more. Jakoda, now bearing a set of metal teeth from their earlier encounter, becomes the target of a final, explosive attack. Ransom places a grenade in Jakoda’s mouth, and the ensuing blast leaves only his teeth behind as a grim reminder of the vengeance that has unfolded.
