Slaughterhouse

Lester Bacon's life on the farm is upended as his old hog-farming ways are replaced by a modern, factory-type slaughterhouse nearby. The bond with his simple-minded son Buddy defines their routine, until the external threat emerges. The introduction hints at a looming conflict over land and livelihood.

Lester is visited by his attorney Harold Murdock, Tom Sanford, and Sheriff Fred Borden, who offer $55,000 to buy his property and the closed slaughterhouse next door. Lester refuses the deal, making clear he won't leave. Fred warns that the assessor's office is foreclosing on the property and that he has 30 days to vacate.

Skip, Buzz, Annie, and Liz—Sheriff Borden's daughter—plan to shoot a 'horror video' and believe the area around the Bacon Slaughterhouse would be perfect. Liz's involvement adds a personal stake to the events. Their plan introduces the teens into the dangerous world surrounding the farm.

Back at Lester's property, Buddy reveals the dead Michelle and Kevin to his father, and Lester says that Tom, Harold, and Fred deserve such a fate. The violent act signals Buddy's growing brutality and sets the tone for the escalating danger. This moment cements the family's cruel dynamics.

Deputy Dave Thomas goes to the slaughterhouse to look for the missing couple. As he searches, he discovers a dead hanging cat, signaling that something horrific has taken hold of the place.

Buddy kills Dave Thomas by chopping off his hand, then Harold arrives and Buddy crushes his skull. The brutal acts demonstrate Buddy's increasing brutality and the danger lurking within the area.

Buddy steals Dave's squad car and pursues Sally Duncan, Dave's girlfriend. Sally flees in terror, but Buddy catches up to her and cuts her throat. The assault escalates the violence and broadens the terror beyond the immediate family.

When Tom Sanford arrives at the slaughterhouse, Lester lures him to the processing room, where Buddy drops him into a grinder. The act marks another direct assault on outsiders connected to the farm's affairs.

That night, Fred finds Dave's abandoned car and calls for backup. Liz and her friends arrive at the slaughterhouse and split up to search for clues. The situation grows more chaotic as more people become involved.

Buddy kills Skip, Annie, and Buzz in quick succession, leaving a trail of bodies behind. Liz finds the bodies of the other victims, heightening the panic and sense of danger for anyone remaining.

Fred learns that Tom and Harold have disappeared. Liz and her friends continue to split up in their search, trying to piece together what happened and where the danger lies.

Buddy and Lester capture Liz and begin torturing her. Fred arrives, and Liz kicks Lester and runs toward her father, attempting to break free from the torment and find a way out.

Liz shoots Lester with her father's gun, then loads Fred into the car and runs over Lester's head, killing him. The decision to eliminate the patriarch marks a climactic turn in the film.

Liz drives away as Buddy rises from the backseat, finishes off Fred, and swings his knife at Liz. The film ends on Liz's scream, signaling the unresolved horror that remains with her.
