After a string of failed attempts with matchmakers, his parents finally rejoice when their son meets the woman of his dreams: Vanjhali, Neeru Bajwa, a skilled wedding planner. The romance faces a practical obstacle from the start: Vanjhali is wary of marriage, seeing it as a flawed institution, and she suggests that Chadta might be better off living independently rather than tying the knot. The story threads through the tension between love and tradition when Vanjhali becomes betrothed to Bagh Singh, Jagjeet Sandhu.
